I’m convinced, floor is Kawhi, ceiling is KD
Jordan Walsh is looking like one of the steals of the draft. Tonight:
25 points
8 rebounds
3 assists
1 stealHelped fuel a comeback win for the Celtics. Flew around on defense all game. Now averaging 18.3 points and shooting 36.8% from 3 this summer. pic.twitter.com/6rEH5jcHPe

I’m glad to see it, but he’s not playing remotely the role he’d be asked to play on the real team. Just like all other draft picks, it’s hard to say what the summer league means for Jordan’s rookie regular season. I hope he can continue to shoot above 35% from three and play good D and rebound well so he can offer us another rotation wing, but I don’t really care if he averages 25 in the summer or 15 in the summer because he is going to get about 3 FGA per game his rookie year if things are going right.
The defense will translate but if anything he reminds me of young Iggy in a way if I’m being honest
Never bad to beat the lakers at any level
As an Arkansas fan, it’s great to see Celtics fans showing him love. We knew the Celtics got a steal.
Floor is Kawhi
Ceiling is KD
Legacy is Tatum
People overreact to Summer League games. We’ve seen players dominate in the Summer League and do nothing in the NBA. I’m not saying Walsh won’t amount to anything, I have no idea if he will. But to already say he’s a “steal” after 3 games, not even a regular season NBA game? I never liked Kevin O’Connor much anyways.
I think what people are discounting/a huge skill that will translate to NBA success is his off ball skills, specifically his cutting abilities. The dude moves around and is a willing cutter. Honestly, he might be the best guy we’ve had in that regard since AB. It’s one of the main issues with Celtics in the Mazzula Ball era. Our guys stop cutting when they’re on from 3, but the 5 or 4 out offense runs better when people are attacking off the ball from both inside and outside the line.
He does a lot of the little things well. Impressive for a young kid. Good feel for the game.
God damn are his arms long. Pretty much same measurements as Mikal bridges and a dog on defense like him too.
I just don’t see him being more than a benchwarmer. We have not been the best place for these types of guys since the IT era. I hope I am proven wrong but I don’t see him cracking the rotation.
