What Should The Bulls Do With The DPE ?

There's absolutely no way that they would use the Dpe on Bitim. He may be a decent get from overseas, but he's likely not getting more than $3 to $4 million. If I had to bet, I'd bet they'd trade for someone who is already in the nba using the DPE.

Cant do anything with it without hitting the 2nd tier tax apron.. So I doubt Jerry lets them use it until the trade deadline and that is if and only if they are a top 4 team in the East at the time.. This is not a $10M replacement for Balls' salary, it is an additional $10M without an extension of the Tax Apron (that stays at the same level). Bulls are looking for Minimum salary guys, if they qualify Ayo and Sign Sanogo to a deal.. They will only be about $3M under that 2nd tier apron if the put them both on the books.
So I guess its nice to have just in-case, but I def don't expect them to be a top 4 team in the East as constructed.

I think this tells us that Onu Bitim feels he is more than just a 2-way player and that he feels he can compete, but we'll see.

I can see the bulls using the DPE to get Gallinari or Kyle Anderson. Getting Gallinari, Ayo and maybe signing Taj as ur 3rd center keeps Adama, Phillips, Lewis, Terry and JLF in the G-League. The bi-annual can be used on a PG during the season or maybe Thad if he gets bought out.
