Lakers coach Darvin Ham on Nuggets coach Michael Malone: “That’s what they call him now? The Lakers’ Daddy? God bless his soul. This shit ain’t over… God bless his soul.”

Looks like Darvin Ham wants all the smoke

Michael Malone was called the Lakers ‘ daddy at the Nuggets parade and now Ham along with Lebron and AD have made hints that they aren’t happy with the comment.

    > this shit ain’t over

oh lord they might win a game next time

  2. KennySmithsKnees

Real rivalries are good for the game

  3. eutectic_h8r

I believe the proper terminology is “Michael Malone is Lakers father”

  4. boyharsher-

maybe he won’t have “leave KCP, MPJ, and Murray open from 3” in his game plan this year

  5. >Ham along with Lebron and AD have made hints that they aren’t happy with the comment

Oh no, they aren’t happy about getting stomped and not winning a single game. I’m sure Malone is losing a lot of sleep over this.

  6. Plastic-Dot-9278

    – the dumbass who lost them the series by playing 3 guard lineups and waiting until they were in a 0-3 hole to start Hachimura

  7. Careless_Review3166

“We’ll be ok, trust me” – Darvin Ham after game 1

  8. Y’all really think the Lakers couldn’t have won that series?

  9. Kev0nL00ney

Kinda of crazy that everyone just forgot that the Lakers were a play in team last year.

  10. Bahamut727

Malone is stuck in a made up timeline where Frank Vogel shit in his cereal every day for months after they eliminated the nuggets

  11. Wise_Ad_112

Denver better make sure they ain’t another 2011 mavs. Lakers have beaten nuggets so many times, mofos think beating lakers once means something. We’ve bin swept before, it means more to anti laker fans cause they have Ntn else to root for. Sad shit. Lol

  12. Kendrick_OJ_Perkins

lmaooo i always welcome rivalry between teams.

i was hoping Grant Williams would stay in Celtics so their feud with Miami Heat will continue or get better.

  13. Lakers live in Mike Malone’s head rent free

never seen a coach that goes on about a team like he does with the Lakers, acting like they cheated him out of title or something when in reality they dismantled us in no time

Malone won ain’t no reason for the ongoing small dick energy

  14. Loud_Ad393

What is the overall playoff record, 7-1 in favor of the Lakers? Respect to the Nuggets for winning the most recent one but by the level of trash talk coming from that fanbase and the team you would’ve thought the records were reversed.

  15. barrymkcocinher

In no point now or in the future will him, every player on the nuggets, the whole nuggets org and even the city of Denver ever be the “daddies” of LA and the lakers.

It like saying the moon is better than the sun. It’s fucking delusion lol.

Like yeah sometimes the nuggets beat the lakers, but the moon sometimes eclipses the sun. Everyone thinks it’s cool for awhile then immediately forgets it even happened.

  16. newperson77777777

The Lakers overall playoff series record against the Nuggets is 6-1 including two sweeps and 23 sweeps overall in franchise history. I think this is fairly premature lol… I guess every time the Nuggets lost doesn’t count, right?

  17. dabears_24

What is up with the butthurt Lakers fans in here? Can’t take a joke lmao

  18. Brunobrunobrunobru

What do you clowns seriously want ? I want the nuggets to talk back it makes for a fun rivalry. Only Reddit clowns dislike this. Malone shoots shots at the lakers, the lakers fire back, this isn’t 0-1 it’s 1-1. Good for Malone for winning and good for ham for having some balls unlike you corny ass slobs

  19. Brunobrunobrunobru

This was 4 years in the making, a lot of people don’t realize this was the part 2 of the series, part 1 was the WCF 3 years ago, we will see if the match for a part 3 because right now the series is tied 1-1 (Lebron and AD Vs the nuggets)

  20. Drawing_The_Line

I can see why it would annoy the Lakers and their fans, I mean it’s annoying for a team that swept you to continue to talk about it long after the fact considering they went on to win the title. I’m a Celtics fan and objectively I can see why it would start to be a bit ridiculous at this point. But that’s the reality of the situation. Ham and the team should just not say anything and let their play this season do the talking.

  21. IUpVoteIronically

Literally no one in Denver has said that about him once lol

  22. killerk13

Everyone is gonna be quick to call lakers and lakers fans butthurt because of Hams response, but Malone was talking crazy even after they swept them. i know for fact if it was any other team Malone kept bashing everyone wouldn’t be so quick to side wit him. A lot of r/nba is just biased against the lakers. I think a little rivalry is good for the game tho.

  23. TroublesumTrav

Being a bad loser is one thing…

But man it’s really hard to stomach bad winners.

  24. HamsOnTheInternet

Ham, you gotta pray better than that

  25. Pal__Pacino

This is a very uncompelling beef because:

A: The Nuggets hate us way more than we hate them.

B: The Nuggets are a much better team than us.

Where’s the conflict supposed to be?

  26. TheBassOfClubs

No wonder they hired Darvin Ham. He’s as corny as Lebron

  27. Oblivious_Jellyfish

Lakers fans up in here with double the team budget and half the wits

  28. Tzikolones

I mean it’s so hard to bounce back from big mistakes when you are a basketball team from LA.

  29. boogonevilla

Did he say this the same day he said Austin Reaves will be an all star?

  30. skywalkerRCP

The media wants to talk about the Lakers so bad.

  31. LamboJoeRecs

Sounds like he wants beef when all he’s got is Ham.

    Nuggets in 4. Again.

  32. kilosurge

Butthurt Laker fans have invaded this thread lmao. It’s ok guys. Better luck next year.
