  1. Doesn't matter how good your D is. When you never make shots. Form is slow, dribbling mechanical. The fact he never straight line drives. Never using his strength is a huge concern to get into the lane and score. Because he doesn't have the ability, skill, handles or confidence to do it.. Then it's like he looks so heavy, if he has longer arms/vertical it sure doesn't translate to the court. I so wish Hendricks wouldn't have had a hamstring injury.. Can't wait to see him Monday. I was very high on Christian Braun and Jalen Williams. I like them both better than Jarace Walker. Unless somehow his shot really starts falling. He will never have a significant role.. No one will guard him.

His ceiling to me is Jae Crowder with longer wingspan possibly. I love Jae, but he struggled with his shot too. So did Jerami Grant, yet his body/movement was much quicker and fluid. So I don't ever see him reaching Jeram Grant potential. Thaddeus Young would be his highest potential possibly… I really hope this kid puts it together.. But his heavy build and lack of fluid motion. With an already inability to score at will inside.. Tells me his potential is very low… Kendall Brown might be better than Jarace Walker as for speed on D, overall athleticism and fluidity.

I'd look to swing Jarace for Hendricks soon in 30 day's lol..

Really though, after they've seen enough. I'd really hope they'd bring in Derrick Jones Jr., Willy Hernangomez and Javonte Green. Those are my picks and dudes who can show out for us and play our style.

  2. I was surprised by some of his passing once I saw this game. He had some good defense possessions. Some blocks, I like how he can advance the ball and drop dimes inside. At the same time, I feel like he's so heavy, he looks glued to the floor on some other Defense possessions. Maybe that's just not being used to knowing how to play within the system yet and in summer league everything is a little unpredictable. No real scouting report.. When I think of a great defender, I think of someone who hounds guy's in a stance and intimidates guy's to come at him.. I didn't see that lock-in, dawg in him. Maybe he will let loose and show more next games.. what I didn't like is when he's close inside to the paint other guy's will run right passed him often and lay it up right around him. Like they know he's not going to get up fast enough to block em. Now he did have a couple where he was able to reach over to tip the ball. Yet he never uses his straight up vertical, or really tries to shut everyone out. I felt he kept his eyes on one side of the court at time's. Didn't alway keep his eyes on the ball when it was being passed around.. for a great defender.. I don't like seeing that.. I'm sure there was some nerves and knows there's some expectations.. but I feel like I'm honestly going to be proven right in my previous analysis of Walker… Hendricks will be a Star… Walker will be a role player… I hope I'm wrong..

  3. Everyone looked decent in the game except Wong and Sheppard…hopefully they look better tonight (first game jitters)!!!

  4. Walker is the truth!!! Pacers front office has another good first round pick! There might be some hope for them after all! Watching Walker gives me Draymond Green vibes!!! Brucey B and Walker are welcomed additions to the team! I love glue guys!!!

  5. I enjoyed watching Jarace just having fun out there. It makes it fun just as a fan to see a guy who truly loves his "job". Hes just having fun right now, the serious work can come in January. If he can do what he did the other night for 82 games, we hit a home run on adding him to the team.

  6. thats win was a miracle. they had to rely on 1 guy the whole game its actually pretty insane.

  7. My thoughts? Everybody keeps talking about Hield vs Mathurin vs Brown and which 2 will start.

How you gonna keep Nembhard off the floor? Could not keep him off last year. Gonna have the same problem.

  8. Walker looked amazing defensively and with his suprising passes. Marhterin was pushing his shot too hard. Driving still his strength. Neimbhard passing and court vision still intact. Brown looked to have some defense handy, and speed always but some jitters or decision making speed issues. Overall a good game! Just wish they kept the pedal to the metal the whole game.

  9. With Walker and Turner down low the Pacers have the best inside defense with their shot blocking.

  10. I wasn’t a fan of Mathurin last year and felt we shoulda took Sharpe, but after seeing that game and hearing that he wants to improve on defense I’m changing mind, I thought Ben was incredible.
