    Low risk signing, can’t complain

Rebounds the ball pretty well. Still only 23. Good flier.

As a Suns fan I wish I could give you guys an opinion on him, but for some reason Monty Williams only gets a hard-on for certain guys and hates everyone else, and Bazely must’ve not been his type.

Because even with our terrible bench last season we proceeded to never play the dude even though he was supposed to be a pretty solid mid-season pickup for us. Heard a lot about how good he was on the defensive end, but never even got to judge for myself.

Kinda frustrating TBH. As a fan I’d like to at least have a chance to truly evaluate a player and explore their strengths/weaknesses so we can see if them not getting minutes was justified or not. But I guess we’ll see how he does for you guys.

Another young guy on a short contract. See a theme here?

Sean signing everything but a center that can rebound

With DSJ, Walker and now Bazley, the team got way younger and way more athletic. We’ll see some highlight reels during the season. Lets just hope Simmons plays decently so we can get some good lobs for them.

No risk here. I liked Bazley coming out of colege. If memory serves (I watch every draft religiously, with take out and carefully timed bathroom breaks), he was a projected 2nd rounder who teams loved during the interview process.

Marks brought him in for a workout and liked him, and rumblings were he was going to select Bazley in the 2nd round.

Utah took him in the late 1st, then traded him on draft night.

Only 23 still. He NEEDS playing time to develop, so letā€™s hope he gets it in Brooklyn.

I love this signing honestly. He either puts it together (like Trey Lyles) or he doesnā€™t at no cost. Heā€™s promising

This is exactly the kind of player the Nets should be going for. Dude still has a fair bit of potential.

But Iā€™m definitely still bitter from when he decommitted from Syracuse to go to the G-league lol.

oh. Hmmmm. Well, another reclamation buy low why not signingā€¦ idk tho careful w the hopes. I watched his thunder career and it wasnt quite whelming. Heā€™ll hustle and he has hops but not much IQ or solid or consistent. Physical tools are there maybe new scenery can helpā€¦.

Okay, I now understand that when Marks says ā€œWeā€™re going to be competitiveā€ what heā€™s really doing is just trying to gas these guys up. Itā€™s clear that more than half of this roster is either trade bait for future pieces or low-risk young guys who have shown promise and could maybe turn into something.

Weā€™re young and athletic, but also unproven and flawed. If the basketball gods smile upon us and Ben returns to form, Mikal shoulders the team, Cam J takes a leap, Claxton improves his rebounding, Cam T becomes more patient, Dayā€™Ron becomes a serviceable backup, and Lonnie, Bazley, and DSJ all show out, we could be decent. But thatā€™s a lot of ifs.

I like this signing. Didnā€™t realize Bazley was only 23. But itā€™s very clear to me weā€™re rebuilding and just not calling it a rebuild. The playoffs would be a miracle. Just preparing myself for this season.

Would rather sign Jalen Wilson to a contract.

Wouldve liked to see another big. Kaminsky, Biyombo, dedmon. are still out there and yeah they are a little older but Kaminsky can shoot. Biyombo can crash the boards and be physical. Dedmon gave us headaches last season.

Letā€™s go! Another role player! Wohoo!!

I mean these are all short term contracts, canā€™t be mad at it, those who play well may have a chance to stick around, we will have cap space by the time some big names are available, Iā€™m not mad at it. A lot of flexibility
