    Sucks but I get it. Dude was a legit spark plug who brought legit energy and effort off the bench and at times could score and heat up quick, but we’re loaded with guards and distribution isn’t his strong suit so it prob best for both parties to move on

    Feel like DSJ is just the better version of him. Sumner wasn’t terrible at spot up 3s, but it’s not like he was some vastly superior spacer that defenses respected. They’re both athletic defensive spark plugs, and DSJ is one of the best defensive guards in the game.

    I’ll miss him, he always played on both ends with high energy but Lonnie walker should be a better version of him and DSJ is as well though without a good 3pt shot

    This is such a loser move from the team. Sumner was legitimately good. An efficient scorer. Good defender. Could play on and off the ball. Brought the energy every night. We decided to bench him for Seth Curry who was a 100% lock to leave and not that good. Sumner was a perfect guy for us after the trade since he could get to the rim and Jacque just buried him.

    This feels like Bruce Brown but even worse. We had him on a team option on the minimum. Now we’re going to see him thrive somewhere else for no reason at all. Some contender is going to be THRILLED to get this guy.
