Feels like Lowry hasn’t been mentioned a lot this summer. What role do we envision him having with us moving forward?

Trade filler. Since he’ll probably go to a team that doesn’t need him, he’ll sit out until the deadline and then eventually be a buyout candidate

Trade him either as filler or as an expiring contract. Do not want to see him on this team every again.

People are saying tyler herro would be disgruntled if the dame situation drags on after opening day. I’m not worried about herro but can certainly see lowry coming in out of shape and throwing a tantrum.

I know this isn’t a common opinion, but I wouldn’t despise the idea of him backing up Dame. No amazing backup PG options out there

He’s the piece that’ll surprise us all when we trade for Dame and we keep Herro 😳🤞🏽

The role where he’s not on the team

People act like he not a good vet backup better than a lot players

The problem with Lowry isn’t even his play imo it’s his contract. If he was making the MLE instead of 30 million nobody would bat an eye. That being said, we don’t really have another point guard on the roster unless we finally get Dame, In which case we don’t really have a backup point guard so I’m fine with him being the backup unless There’s a better option

I see him as a facilitator.

A trade facilitator, to be specific.

He’s a fat contract to match salary and get a superstar.

He’s not useless but he will be another year older

Sure he can be a backup PG but I feel like if he’s still on the team I’d turn him into two good players, if possible via trade

Dude, idk how anyone could say anything poorly of him after his playoff performance. He kept us in games.

  14. IamRaith

I hope he stays. Be a great second unit leader like he did in the playoffs

  15. John-Sim788

I wish his salary wasn’t so much he would be a great backup . One of the smartest players in the league

  16. jagerhero

Trade filler or off the bench with Dragic as our third string

  17. Timberdoodler

When the Heat play the Warriors in the Finals, be will be part of the greatest concentration of point guard talent in Finals history ever: Dame-Lowry vs. Curry-CP3.

As bad as he is sometimes, Lowry won us some games in the playoffs y’all trippin

Great salary filler for a trade. Let’s keep mentioning it so it actually happens

  20. jskylok

They need to make him play in the 1980s nba shorts

  21. DraymondBeanKick

Dame’s Backup converted into an expiring contract used for a power forward upgrade at the trade deadline.

salary filler for dame, role model to shaedan sharpe and scoot. He can teach scoot how to use that big booty of his in the post

  23. Kevita24

He’s still a very good player despite being about 4 years past his prime, the issue is the size of his contract, if his contract was 16 million instead of 30+ million, people would be touting his name and treating him like royalty lol

IMO he doesn’t get utilized properly and I think he should take more shots especially when Jimmy and Bam go cold but that’s just me…
