DJJ would be a nice addition. Oubre makes no sense though at all if Hardaway is here
We do have 2 roster spots available, if you assume that McGee will be waived and AJ Lawson isn’t getting converted from two-way to a regular contract.
Which, apparently, Nico already does, judging from his last night game interview where he explicitly said that we are not done yet and still have *couple* of roster spots to fill.
Like three years ago I had Derrick Jones Jr on the top of my Mavs free agent wish list. He’d catch a bunch of lobs and he’d be okay on defense.
Yeah, the team is still trying to make a move, its either going to be a center or another wing. either way hardaway is being moved and if mcgee can’t be packed together he is getting waived.
curry was specifically brought in to take over for his three point shooting volume, obviously.
We’re all just waiting for the first big trade (whether its Siakam, Harden, Lillard) to start the second phase of trade season.
I would take DDJ over Oubre.
DJJ makes sense, I’m guessing the Mavs are trying to get a player with a team option/non-guaranteed second year for maximum flexibility…
I think the Oubre interest is just smoke. I do not believe that they want a guy like Oubre after how the Wood experience turned out.

I honestly cannot begin to pretend I care who they sign to be the 15th man on their roster. Jones at least has a little upside but we’re in trouble if either player actually matters to the rotation.
We need Oubre to raise overall attractiveness in our team
DJJ would be a nice pickup with the rest of our full MLE. I haven’t really watched Oubre, but from what I read from comments idk what he actually does right 😂
