Knows a deal ain’t getting done soon lol

Why wouldn’t he? He built his legacy here.

And the memories that he created will live on forever, especially like the shots where he iced franchises from advancing the in playoffs…

shit was so bulletproof that he requested a trade and to the one team that has one of the worst trade packages for a superstar in the history of the league.

He’s probably fine with the city but isn’t a fan of how the FO dragged him along/managed the situation. As long as he plays for us if he has to and does not dog it like Harden did, I don’t really care if he’s a fan of the FO or not.

He’s going to be a positive impact on this team if he sticks with us.

Yeah he’s backing out and/or knows it’s not getting done before camp lmao

Yeah makes sense. It’s bigger than basketball too. He brought his whole fam up from Oakland, his bro is coach for local high school, did lots of shit for community, had all three of his kids here, really wanted to win a ring here. He pretty much built a home for himself and everyone he cares about in Portland. The only reason he asked out is because he saw the organization go with Scoot and didn’t want to be that guy stopping a team from rebuilding. Dame actually loves Portland and Portland is forever going to be home for him.

I wonder if the FO and Dame are gonna have a come to Jesus moment about his legacy in Portland and being a mentor to new guards. Scoot is a bit older than Ant, but that doesn’t mean he can’t help them develop. We brought Jerami Grant back, kept Nurk around. Idk if Ant wants to stay in Portland but that is Lillard’s legacy, to be a positive mentor to young athletic guards in the league.

I’ll root for this guy wherever he goes. Not the team he plays for, but I want him to have personal success.

He’s given Portland plenty and it’s not like he asked to be traded to LA.
