The #Cavs have shown interest in free agents Kelly Oubre Jr. and Christian Wood according to @ChrisFedor.

Which do you prefer? I like to dream we can get both. Is it possible to get both of these players?

Sure Oubre is a wing but he’s below average on high volume from three. The Cavs would have to make sure he’s mostly taking corner threes where his percentage is higher. I just don’t know how he’d be happy in that role especially coming off the bench. I don’t see how Strus gets that kind of money without starting.

LFG, if they’re okay with the money and role they’ll have with the Cavs.
That being said, who else is out there that’s realistic anyways? Almost everyone that’s “coveted” has signed and unavailable.

Y’all are tripping if you dont think Oubre is worth getting a couple minutes of the rotation. The price point is the only thing that I’m worried about.

For the low prices it’d take to get them I’d be pretty pumped to add either to our bench, yeah they both have problems but what cheap bench guy doesn’t

He did also mention PJ Washingston as a potential sign and trade move similar to Strus. Probably sending Wade and Rubio out. It would make sense that CLE is planning to move Rubio since signing Jerome, drafting Craig Porter Jr, and Sharife Cooper looking so good in summer league. If there’s one more move left that wouldn’t surprise me.

Can’t wait to see what else we add. Any of those names would be fantastic.

I wouldn’t mind Wood for a lineup of Mobley at the 5 and Wood at the 4 in order to stretch the floor. In his last 3 years he’s shot average 4.7 threes per game and averaged .38%. That’s very valuable in a backup if the price is right.

  7. Wood could be helpful. Playing him at the 4 to stretch the floor a bit when Mobley or Allen needs to sit could help keep our offense clicking.

A motivated Oubre on a contender will 100% play some high level wing defense, on top of average shooting. He’s a sexier Okoro. Not sorry.

Neither. OKC has a bunch of cheap players that they won’t be able to keep on their roster – would rather trade a 2nd for JRE or Poku than bring in Wood or Oubre. San Antonio might have the same issue, I’d love to have Barlow, or a guy like Springer from Philly if they need off his $$.

If we fill the 15th roster spot, I’d rather convert Porter or Mobley so we can lock up Pete Nance on a 2 way.

Guys… we’re just doing due diligence. We’re checking the market. These flurry of trade posts lately aren’t happening.

I’d start Wood over Allen and have Mobley play center. I know this sub is gonna hate me for saying that

I prefer Oubre because I think his size at wing would really help us since he can hit the 3 and defend (when motivated).

My only concern w/Woods is the lock room issues but tht mite be because Houston is a shitshow in general…he fit well with us as a back up for Mobley and Allen.

Whoever it is, if they wanna to play under JB they better give some type of effort on defense. That’s the culture.
