Will Lively may not be a mainstay in Mavs head coach Jason Kidd’s rotation, OMax will carve out an immediate role with his length and defensive ability. Harrison and Coop also discuss the possibility of trading JaVale McGee to the Los Angeles Lakers for Jarred Vanderbilt, after Vanderbilt exited the Lakers’ rotation during the 2023 NBA playoffs. The Mavs could really use a bench distributor. Curry, Hardy, THJ, Green, Exum aren't gonna cut it handling and dishing the rock in the halfcourt. Maybe the bench unit will be built more around a full-court high energy gameplan because that's what these players are suited for. The bigs are gonna need to be better rebounding the basketball.
