Saw this just now, if this happens it wouldn’t be terrible though the returns would just mean we become deeper but not necessarily contention for a better playoff run.

OKC would be willing to throw a bunch of picks at us from their inventory, but Masai’s gonna want an actual prospect instead of just picks and OKC isn’t gonna like that
Thunder Receive:
– Siakam
Raptors Relieve:
– Dort
– Wallace
– Dieng
– $ filler players
– 1st round pick 2024 (OKC has 4)
– 1st round pick 2025 (OKC has 4)
Most trades that send Siakam to another team will make us objectively worse in the short term. That said, the thunder have a lot of picks and a few nice young players that would be great to help is kick start a rebuild
Just asked thunder fans they said no… presti wouldnt go all in rn
In theory, okc has the most assets for pascal and needs a PF but they want to figure out who they have in chet.
That’s not to mention dieing and etc.
All of their guys are on rookie contracts so they have time to figure out what they have before consolidating.
I say maybe 1 or 2 more seasons before a big move
I think they would start making trades for vets soon. They’re getting into too many assets territory. They have 8 first round picks in the next 2 drafts
OKC need to consolidate. I wonder would we be able to pry Giddey out of them.
Giddey, Chet and both J Williams are all due for a big raise. They can’t pay everyone. With Shai as their lead guard for the foreseeable future, maybe he is one that could be available
Give us SGA then yes
Assuming Siakam would stay with them; Wallace, Bertans, Oladipo, Houston’s 2024 1st and Clippers’ 2026 1st.
Giddey up or get out
Dort is not the feature of a Siakam trade, com’on
Bunch of low 1st Rd picks
I’ll accept no less than Giddey, SGA, Dort, and half of their haul of 2 million FRPs.
The Utah pick is the only worthwhile one in there. Miami and Philly will be mid or lower, and same with OKC given their potential picks before that. This trade is a gamble on our scouting to build a team through the draft. Dort and Bertrand are fine role players but neither will fill the offence hole Siakam would leave.
Y’all we ain’t getting Giddey, SGA, JDUB, Chet none of that.
