The New Orleans Pelicans wrapped up Summer League with a loss. But Jake Madison doesn’t care as he saw good performances from rookie Jordan Hawkins and EJ Liddell. He then looks at the current options for two-way contracts with the Pels and thinks the team should consider Lander Nolley II for one alongside Deron Seabron. Plus, the Pelicans are lacking in 2nd round picks and that could be a problem going forward.

    You Seabron should be doing what he did. Why not say that about Dyson instead of excuses for him. That dude was the 8th pick in 1st rd. He is under performing in a big way. Maybe he should go to the g league.

    We have until the end of the season to make a move to clear cap space. Let's not do anything drastic before then. By that the time of the trade deadline, moving CJ and Jose, might seem wiser than trading Jonas and/or Kira.

    Jonas is our best (only) rebounder, and most consistent and available player. If he's traded, the Pels need to get back enough to fill those holes in production. How many players and draft picks have we given up for the Center position since Favors???

    It may be blasphemy, but Kira has a higher ceiling than Jose does. Jose currently has more skills, but Kira has more natural talent and athleticism. Kira can eventually learn the things that Jose does. Jose can't be taught Kira's height or speed. Diminutive guards (Spud Webb, Mugsy Bogues, Ish Smith, etc.,) are a defensive liability in the playoffs.

    It won't be long before Trey Murphy plays himself into a starting role. He can't replace Zion, BI, or Jonas. The only other options are Herb and CJ. It won't be Herb, because the team just gave him a contract extension to guard the opponents' best offensive threat. That strategically doesn't work coming off of the bench. It makes the most sense to replace CJ. Trey can offer similar offensive production but adds more defense.
