  1. It hurts to see Duarte leave especially knowing how he is healthy. But we basically traded him for obi and obi is gonna bring even more fun to this fun pacers team

  2. I dont think his toe ever healed. I think its still not right. It messed up his side to side movement, cutting off screens, shooting and defense. It ended his first season, carried into off season and just never healed in season two.

  3. Im not sure if you're allowed to discuss thing from other outlets. But the Myles Turner interview on Gils Arena was best interview hes given in his whole time with us. It was very inciteful and made me appreciate him more.

  4. Hey Tony, I was wondering if you had a top 3 REALISTIC trade targets who are ONLY on the 2023 Men’s USA National Team?

  5. People on the outside that never competed in high level activities dont understand how mental competition is.

I never thought his reasons for declining were physical. He'd look for ways to be taken out the Game because he was most definitely not having fun out there and always seemed hurried and stressed.

Hurried and stressed in high level competition Is a literal death sentence. Zero chance of being successful when your hurried and stressed

I'm hoping for his sake that he's not too far down into his own head. Most of these lottery pick busts that happen every year are rarely because of talent/physical ability. It's mental.

If you think your going to succeed or if your going to fail your right. Jalen Rose called it irrational confidence and you almost have to have it when playing in the NBA.

He never seemed relax or that He was having fun all season. If someone stepped on his foot you'd think He was shot with a shotgun by the way He reacted. He was looking for an out. For a reason to not have to play.

Changed hair color. Changed hair styles. Dude just seemed lost all year trying to find an identity.

I think Mathurin's confidence and Buddy's over 40 percent from 3 shooting made him Ill at ease too. He just didn't seem to like being and playing in Indiana. I could tell He felt like a misfit and didn't like being there. It happens.

A change of scenery should work wonders. I honestly do think be will play more like he did season one with Sacramento. Having Sabonis will help his confidence tremendously.

I cant remember Tyrese and Duarte in synch playing well together. I cant off hand remember Duarte ever cutting to the basket and Tyrese feeding him an easy dunk. Its almost like Duarte had a chip on his shoulder and wasnt willingly going to concede to it now being Haliburton's team.

Im not sure who Duarte ever meshed with on the roster last year except maybe Mcconnel.

He never looked to playmake or get better shots for his teammates. Pacers already now had Mathurin who is considerably better at being a scorer off the bench then Duarte could ever dream about being.

He just seemed to always be trying to do his own thing out there. Its like He had A me vs them mentality after the Sabonis trade. Just no longer was a good fit.
