I know everyone on NBA twitter or reddit will clown on him for saying that but that’s exactly the attitude you need to have to win. Nobody wins a chip with goals of just making it to the playoffs, 2nd round, or conference finals

I hate comments like these from him. I get that it can be a good thing he has so much belief in himself and all that. I mostly agree, but he talks about it so flippantly, without acknowledging any of the smaller goals he would have to achieve
with Trae as the guy, we’ve had two incredibly inconsistent and disappointing seasons in a row. As fans, I think we’re asking for a lot less than a chip, and tbh, he’s let us down for two years in the regular season – albeit more so last year
I love the guy, and think at his best he’s a top 10 player, but he doesn’t sound serious casually talking about getting as many rings as Bron, given the improvements he still has to make
