Steph wanted CP3, so they got CP3. When you have a choice between 4 more years of JP or 1 yr of anyone else its an easy decision. If they didnt get rid of the JP contract the team was finished. If its works out well- great; if not- they can easily make a change.

If they'll just gonna trade cp3 right before playoffs season start, why not now? Adding a piece late in the season might actually be a problem for chemistry. And who knows if that vet can adjust easily through their system.

Whelp here we go. Another aging all star guard who could come off the bench and take a second unit to areas rarely if ever see. Oh yeah but like one Mr. Westbrook whom I believe could.of made the Lakers near impossible to beat coming off the bench with the second unit. Not only can your starters play less minutes per game to save for a playoff run but again name a second team ready to deal with a fired up Westbrook. But ego as usual will own again and unless a trade is made it will implode like in L.A. if your chasing a ring you gotta check your ego at the door
