Once they traded Toppin there is very little chance that they would trade Randle. He also plays 75+ games per year.

What makes the Knicks think another team would trade their superstar playing for Randle? Randle is not a superstar. They would have to include Randle in a package deal.

Randle needs to go. he's only good for the regular season only. Brunson should have been an All-Star last season instead of Randle. It's Thibs that wants Randle that's why they wont trade him. 1. We have a superstar on our roster: Jalen Brunson
2. Name a 2X All NBA player gets paid what Randle gets paid?
3. Even the argument as a 3rd option is ridiculous. Bradley Beal, Chris Middleton, and many others are paid way more than Julius.
4. The arguments about leadership are BS too. Harden, Morant, Zion all get paid. We already know the deal.
5. His attitude is not an issue either as he’s always in shape, plays the majority of games. He’s a good teammate by all means.
The issue with Julius’ trade value is the perception that the Knicks are a BS franchise. It’s called the Knicks tax. That’s it. We’re not getting whored anymore.
I CAN deduct from his production because his style of play hurts the flow of his teammates, especially Barrett!

Yes, Ran le is a top PF in the NBA. Yes, only trade for an Embid type star but NO he won't be here for a long time. I doubt Ran le gets another extension from the Knicks. When this current contract is up, the Knicks will let him🚶♀️ 🚶♂️ walk. He is also the lowest paid Allstar in the NBA and is unmoveable. Teams should be crawling over themselves to get a 25/10/4 PF that makes ONLY $25 Million per. What does that tell you?

So let me get this straight: Are the people crying for Randle to be traded complaining about his “body language” and overlooking his production? (rhetorical question). 🤨 He may not be a defensive juggernaut but neither are some of the players these fans wanna see in a Knicks uniform. There’s so much irrational anti-Randle rhetoric out there that it’s become comically short-sighted. For those of us who actually pay attention and watch full games, Randle’s stats are no surprise and we know they’re not easily replaceable without gutting the roster to get one of the so-called superstars. He may not be “smiling” all the time but the man plays hard and has carried the Knicks pretty much ever since he got here (prior to Brunson’s arrival). Btw, I don’t recall as many people complaining about Melo being an iso player during all those times he carried the Knicks and didn’t get past the second round of the playoffs (with a similar defensive effort)
