Honestly, I hate the Heat, but they’re gonna have a shot as long as he’s there it feels like.

Somehow the Heat and Cleveland are the only EC teams outside of my own I could tolerate the most getting a championship in the near future, really. Maybe the Bucks too?
I too would have reinvigorated confidence if I were seeing Shakira.

Dude spends more effort talking about wanting to win a championship off the court than actually playing like he wants to win one during the actual Finals lmao. I still want an explanation to this day on why he was so passive and deferred to Bam, Strus, Vincent, and the rest of the Heat role players all Finals long (so much that even Mark Jackson and JVG were calling him out for it in the 4th quarter of Game 5) and passed out of multiple post up opportunities with smaller guards on him all series, including the last possession in Game 5 when he had Murray on him 1 on 1 and just threw it right to Caldwell Pope with no one even double teaming him

Jimmy Butler is good but the calls he got in ECF really were out of control. Dude was just flinging himself into people.

Good chance it won’t happen, but dude’s an absolute dog. Gotta respect him for that at least. One of the few teams in the playoffs I’ve watched where no amount of lead seems safe if they’re playing your team.

Wish him luck but at this point I can’t see it happening, unless they get Lillard I don’t think Butler as your no.1 guy is the way to a chip, yes Jimmy Buckets is real and he’s a beast, but i think when it truly truly matters most theres like 5 or 6 guys id rather have as my no.1 to win a chip

Its kind of crazy when you zoom out and see that the Heat have made at least the Conference Finals in 3 of the 4 years Jimmy has been here. There’s teams that have been trying to build a contender for a decade that haven’t gotten there once. It’s clear that this organization has almost enough with what it has, it just needs that little bit more.
And the Heat have done it with really only Jimmy as the tentpole (no disrespect to Bam but Jimmy is clearly a level or more above), which is even more crazy.

It’s pretty much next year or bust isn’t it? Jimmy already ran out of gas this past playoffs and it will be worse next year. If they don’t get Dame or a miraculous second guy to take over games they have no shot at actually winning it. Maybe getting to the Finals and rolling over because it took all they had again.
