I think most people care because if Morey can’t make a big move with Harden then this is what the team is going to look like, and its basically a downgrade over lasts years team. That plus Morey himself he is willing to stand pat until he gets a great offer, which judging by reports from Lowe and others there doesnt really seem to be a suitor like that on the market.

Morey’s been acting super annoying as of recent, but this is still correct. I’ve been trying my best to just completely tune out and let the front office do their job. None of this matters until October, and I refuse to dedicate my capacity for fan outrage towards this team until then.
Focus on it in may when its too late to do anything about it.

I still think letting Niang walk was stupid. He was by far the best shooter we could get this FA class that was realistically attainable, and it would have made the current bench A LOT better. He basically got the same deal Paul Reed got. And yeah I get it, we let him go so we could match Paul Reed. Whether or not that was dumb remains to be seen but in any case, if you can’t bring both of them back at 8 mil a year, then we can’t do anything that doesn’t involve moving Harden or Tobias because that means we obviously don’t have money left, so why shouldn’t we be a little concerned that this is how we’re going to look at least until February?
If we assume the 2nd string is going to be Pat Bev, D-Melt, D-House, Bball Paul and Mo Bamba we have one guy who can shoot in that lineup, and Springer is redundant with the other guy that can shoot, unless you stick him at the 3 and pull House out of the rotation, but Springer is about 20lbs too undersized to play the 3.
You’re telling me we couldn’t trade 5 mil Korkmaz for cash considerations and just NOT re-sign Trez, who gave us a gift from the Gods by opting out, for 2.8 mil and bring Niang back for 8 mil too?
I mean cool. But how much more can it realistically change before the season. Or to be generous, before the trade deadline?
