Love this take.
My favorite era was the 2000s. Low scoring but every basket was a battle. Easy layups and open shots were rare. I know its because shooting and spacing has improved but still thats just my personal preference.

This is why i made a big build on 2k thats all defense. Everybody wants to be dunking like Ja, or shooting from the logo like Steph. Which is ok unless you have 5 players like that. Nobody appreciates paint defense and rebounding or what they see as "boring basketball" but if you get a build like that and do what you are supposed to, defend, rebound, pass, set screens, roll ect, everyone will want you in their squad
