@New York Knicks

His trade value was in the basement already and this just further cratered.

    I like Ev but dude got taken out of the rotation and we win games… honestly dude is what he is and isn’t some sophomore who can reshape his game. Guy can shoot but he’s a liability on defense to the point that Deuce gets minutes but not him. He’s a flat head and we need a Philips. Just hope he understands that instead of taking it personally.

    Idk the Fournier hate hear. Dude is a professional basketball player saying that he wants to play basketball and since his current team clearly has zero intention of having him play basketball, he would like to be traded to a team that will allow him to play basketball.

    He’s actually very level-headed about last year, but he’s rightfully acknowledging that if we don’t trade him and sit him for an entire second year it’s basically the end of his career

    Props to Fournier.

    Can’t stay silent for too long.

    Dude has been professional this whole time while bums like McBride and Sims get minutes over him.

    Imagine that, a basketball player that wants to play basketball…oh the horror.

    It’s no secret that a lot of players around the league don’t want to play for Thibs.
    Who can blame them?

    look i completely understand where hes coming from because this is his passion and his career, but i have to strongly disagree with the ā€œwhy didnt you use meā€ take. if weā€™re a way better team with you off the floor, weā€™re going to keep you off the floor. no competing team is going to maximize individual trade value over winning

    Still a very useful shooter but that contract is rough with the new cba. When you go all in on thibs and randle like they have only certain pieces can fit. You have to stay with the mold if thatā€™s your choice.

    i donā€™t think this article had any impact on his value. him being hungry to play and contribute should only be seen as a positive.

    Maybe if he was worth damn on the defensive end, he would have gotten some minutes.

    If Iā€™m Derrick Iā€™d be feeling some type of way about Fournier throwing my name in with his complaints. Speak for yourself bruh

    No it won’t. He airing his grievances which he has the right to do. It was a bad fit, everyone knows it. I think this is mostly him being impatient because he knows he’s being traded at some point but wants to start the season with a new team, not sit around until next Feb trade deadline which is entirely possible.

    His trade value is just that of an expiring contract he can’t really tank it any further. No team was really trading for Fournier to get him as a player. I am glad Fournier was a pro last season and waited until the season was over to make these statements. He will get traded, it is just a matter of finding the right contract to take back. Ideally, I would like to see the Knicks take back a decent but overpaid stretch 4 with 2 years left at a similar salary and get back a protected first for it. Not sure who fits that bill but there are a lot of bad 2 year deals teams will be looking to get out of to avoid the tax or avoid the second apron.

    I get heā€™s salty but he didnā€™t get benched due to his 3pt shooting. The guy was a consistent target on the defensive end and we show how huge of an impact it had by taking him out of the lineup. Itā€™s not like other teams were winning with him and the Knicks screwed it up. He should own up to it. Heā€™s a liability on defense and the team did better with him off the floor. Not playing him didnā€™t torpedo his value – his game did.

    He really wants the Knicks to trade him huh
