Seems like Maxi is withdrawing from World Cup due to Dennis Schroeder’s comments

This stinks for Maxi – seems like a good dude and well-liked, sucks that he felt he needed to withdraw from WC

Hot take but Schroeder ain’t wrong. It’s not fair to the other players who’ve been committed the last few tournaments for someone to take their spot that hasn’t been there. Just like when Landon Donovan took a sabbatical and got left off the 2014 World Cup squad.

If anyone should say “I respect the decision you made last year and won’t hold it against you” Id think Schroeder would have roughly 87,000,000 reason to understand

If Maxi wanted to rest that’s fine, we went to WCF and he needed the rest and recovery, if he wanted to use the time to work on, refine and improve his craft then that’s fine too!

Who the fuck is Dennis bum Schroeder to say anything?

Bruh lmaooo there’s no way maxi quit the national team because he didn’t like schroders comments. That’s mad lame. Go there and represent your country and prove Dennis he was wrong to doubt your level of commitment. Ig Dennis was right that maxi wasn’t committed to the NT in the first place

    >It is not my goal to destroy the good team chemistry of last summer. Nor do I want to become a source of distraction. Therefore, I have decided that it is best for everyone involved if I do not play.

    >Instead, I will cheer on and support the team as a fan. I have no intention of commenting further publicly on this matter.

    >I wish the NT every success!”

Total class from our man. Doesn’t even call out the bad seed by name.

As a Mavericks fan, I think this is best. They face nearly a group of death vs Finland, Australia, and Japan. Every one with NBA players. I’d hate to see him strain a hammy or tweak an ankle fighting with Lauri for a rebound or defending the Aussie pick and roll.

And Australia has two of our own in Josh Green and Dante Exum!

Rather than cheer a team with bad chemistry and DSchro, now we can cheer Australia fully in that group, with our own JG and Exum! 🇦🇺

So we can fully root for Australia in Group E, then Slovenia in Group F.

Also, some more rest for Maxi never hurts. Season is a grind on him, he deserves the rest and peace of mind. ☺️

I see this as an absolute win for the Mavs. Maxi’s body is already shoddy. If we don’t add any more bigs, we will depend on him having a relatively injury free season

The same Dennis Schroeder that turned down $84 million?

Maxi bestie Brunson about to recruit him to team USA 🇺🇸

  9. After Maxi rushed his recovery last season, I’m glad he’s not going through the extra strain of playing international ball this Summer.

  10. What a bellend, glad we never signed that guy
