    – “Perhaps a young player, like Nikola Jovic.”

    – Expiring contracts: Kyle Lowry fits this criteria; potentially salary from third team.

    – Three or four first-round picks, including one or two from another team for Tyler Herro. Miami can trade unprotected picks in 2028 and 2030.

    – Multiple first-round pick swaps, which Miami has available for 2024, 2027, 2029.

    – Multiple second-round picks — 2026, 2029, 2030 are available.

In totality, would be a legit haul for Portland if they’re able to extract most of those assets.

at the point I’m bored of the hypotheticals from people who don’t know anything, so I’m just waiting for the trade, and hoping to god it’s good for us.

  3. YoungSuplex

At this point this sub will hate the heat package regardless of what it is. This wouldn’t be mind blowing but it sounds fine

  4. asmara1991man

They need to add Jovic AND Jamie or no deal.. period

  5. HappyAtheist3

Can someone explain to me how pick swaps work? Like if Portland gets a pick swap in 2025 (where they will 99% likely have a worse record than Miami) do they just not use it?

  6. Shams trying to hype up jovic is wild lol. Not even sure he would get minutes ahead of Jabari and Murray at this point, let alone be a significant boost to land dame 💀

  7. Petgeek

Hasn’t this been the package the whole time? There’s nothing new here, especially the Herro part. Pretty clear no one is giving up a 1st for him, regardless of the Heat oops I mean media’s gaslighting.

  8. Rusty_Squirts

If herro could actually fetch 1-2 firsts why haven’t the heat done that yet?

  9. YaGirlKellie

Caleb Martin. JJJ. Jovic. Highsmith. Herro. Every pick and swap they can offer.

Salaries match, and it’ll ruin Miami which I think would be fun.

  10. ValhallaPDX

Pick swaps are at this point worse than 2nd rounders.

It’s just a bunch of talking heads selling snake oil

  11. RichardRDown

Portland doesn’t have to “play the game” with Miami. Give us the best offer or shove it. Dame can sit with a strained ab or something, get his money, and wait for a team to give us a palatable offer. We, unfortunately, aren’t going to get 100 cents on the dollar but give us 75 cents. Just can’t settle for 25-50 cents.

  12. BunkHammer

The Heat need to trade Herro and Martin for firsts to give to us.

Then give us JJJ and a combo of their expirings.

We need to walk out of this with 4 firsts (2 of them in within the next couple years), a couple seconds and swaps. Plus JJJ and some expiring money like Lowry.

I would assume Shams is reporting this as the current offer stands at Lowry , 2FRP’s , Herro to a 3rd team and one of Jovic/Jaquez Jr

We’ll probably end up with the Heats late firsts, whatever first they get for Herro, a couple swaps, maybe some seconds, JJJ, Jovic and Lowry

  13. KingKongKaram

Can someone explain why we would want to do pick swaps doesn’t that just add value for Miami while in the end probably doing nothing since their picks will most likely be lower than ours every year like why are people saying instead of 4 picks just do 2 picks and some pick swaps what does that give us at all

  14. LemmingPractice

The Heat need to be putting up their max package (Jovic and Jaquez). Even that is not great, but less than that is silly.

And, call me skeptical that they can get two firsts of any real value for Herro.

  15. GaviFromThePod

Jovic AND Jaquez and all this stuff doesn’t get the deal done for Portland. This is why there haven’t been serious talks between the Blazers and Miami. I don’t care who you are but this package is not a “haul” if you’re giving up Damian Lillard.

  16. Majjinluffy

Still not enough imo bc miami cant constantly advertise “heat culture” will be the reason they will always good and expect portland to think those picks will ever will have high value.

Plus the fact that miami still hasnt been able to get another team to commit to herro shows his value in the league and that he probably has reached his ceiling as a player and for that contract isnt worth especially being the centerpiece to a dame trade. Portland should just wait until a team that has a young player that fits there team well emerges so they wont be a need for a 3-4 team trade. Bam is really the guy that Portland should be trying to get if they wanna keep talking to the heat.

  17. Jollyhat

I wish Lillard would stop acting like a PrimaDonna and wrecking the blazers on his way out.

His rapper name should be PrimaDolla…

  18. CaspianFan69

It’s gotta be quality on my end or no fucking deal

  19. Inside-Mixture-9362

I’m so ready for this deal to be done.

Salary, Jovic, Jaime, 3 firsts from MIA, 1 first from the Herro deal to a third team, 1 or 2 swaps. I could honestly care less about getting all the 2nds, maybe just 1 or 2, and the 2024 swap is pointless. Would really like to find a way to bring in Orlando, but I don’t think he is eligible for trade until Dec 15th. Can we just stipulate or wink-wink a deal in Dec for him?

Jaquez, Jovic, 4 firsts, some distant swaps, 1 or 2 seconds, and potentially Orlando Rob… is enough value to me. Lets everyone move forward and allows MIA to keep Martin and 1 or 2 second round picks and swaps.

To me MIA is not offering this full package and has no reason to offer it until Jaquez can be traded. If the deal can’t get done why not try and get Dame for less in the mean time.

  20. abstract_contact

Route Herro and Lowry to Toronto and give us picks, JJJ, Jovic and Achiuwa. The money can work.

  21. lumpialibrary_489

Orlando mvp of summer league gib

  22. Orwell1971

A bunch of late first round picks so we can pick an army of Kris Murrays. Whee. No offense to Kris Murray, who will hopefully become a fine rotation player, but that moves zero needles. I want a good young frontcourt player.

  23. Krustykrab8

Jovic is such a meh prospect to headline a superstar trade. Late first rounder last year, limited minutes played, not very much athleticism. I bet if the heat took whitmore the deal would be done by now

  24. Dengahob

I want 0 picks from heat they will trash picks no matter what we need 3-4 picks from a another team. And two young players from heat.

  25. cippy91

I still hate this package even with jovic and jjj. These young players aren’t even great young players. Just meh. I am in favor of dragging this out till dame opens up destinations and get a better deal.

  26. TheHeed97015

Bam, jovic, some firsts, and any salary filler

  27. Winter-Hamster-5660

Need to get Orlando Robinson…and Jovic and/or Jaquez. Can we get OR? I don’t see him on lists but he blew up SL!! Getting more picks means we get more salary off of our payroll too so time to still pick up a piece or two before deadline. PJ Washington is still available because Charlotte is having trouble closing the door. Capela is available now too. If Nurk isn’t with Dame, then trade him, Little and picks for Capela. Capela does great against Jokic and as well as Nurk against all of the other big centers (Adams, Horford, A. Davis, Sabonis, Ayton). He is consistent as well. Sign and trade Devoe if needed to add a backup for TY. Trade Ant for PJ and picks. Ball and Simons would be a great backcourt for them. Thoughts.

  28. moaboaa

Let’s say no decent trade package is offered for Lillard and Portland decides to “run it back” with Dame at the wheel.

I thought about sending Scoot to Chicago for DeMar and Caruso maybe. How does that smell?

  29. EvanTurningTheCorner

Fuck Shams, those pick swaps are literally worthless.

  30. BetsonStennet69

I feel like everyone has officially been gaslit into thinking that Jovic and Jaime are even starting caliber players.
