The Chris Paul Trade Makes SO MUCH Sense Now…

Chris Paul being traded to the Golden State Warriors was weird, but now it makes so much more sense.

  1. Oviously they were never gonna start both Steph and Paul we all knew that

  2. Ngl u downplaying Jordan Poole a lil he’s still gon b really good that draymond situation hurt him last yr

  3. What if Draymond comes off the bench instead of CP3? Draymond was benched in the playoffs and the Warriors performed just fine.

  4. They are running death lineup 2.0 of course cp3 steph clay wigging draemond will start looney is a bum he will back up draemond with kuminga gp2 saric joesph rookies will b on a deeper bench with moody.

  5. GS could’ve drafted Davion Mitchell instead of Kuminga and had the back up PG they needed. He’s an elite defender and a capable shooter off the bench for SAC… meanwhile Kuminga barely played in the postseason.

  6. great analysis, enjoyed hearing you out, but what about his injury problems and other physical limitations bc of his age? How can the deal make so much sense if CP3 cannot play well if at all?!

  7. The Punch messed up the 2 timelines coexisting, Draymond costing the Warriors again. One thing no one has addressed is how the young guys will probably get worse, they including Wiggins are friends with Poole. The trust Bill Myers built is gone like the Dinosaurs. The owner is the reason why Dray stayed, you can tell Myers wanted to move him since he couldn't he chose retirement. Poole is literally Curry but without the bad ankles. Curry threw the ball away a lot when Marc Jackson would insist he take the ball inside instead of jacking up a 3. Real reason Marc has no job in today's NBA. This little experiment with #1 Curry hater CP3 is ridiculously bad. The Warriors needed a big like maybe Indiana's who would have been cheaper now & long run. Instead they took on a 30 plus million contract for a 5'11" statute. CP3 has become unplayable in the playoffs. How is that going to change? CP3 already barking orders like he has rings, the young core all have 1 & most contributed to the run in 2022. Who is going to listen to CP3 choke artist? The problem with most analysts is they don't remember when the Warriors were a bottom feeding team, Curry bad ankles & knees that almost had himself traded to the Bucks. Myers did turn a loosing franchise into the Dynastic Warriors we see today. I'm a Warriors fan since the Nelson & Run-Tim-MC'S days (Tim Hardaway, Chris Mullen & Mitch Richmond), I've seen the struggles & they were real fun yet frustrating. Sorry for the essay

  8. I'm pretty sure the deadline has passed and CP3 is guaranteed for at least this season.

  9. The problem is that with steph it should be fine but if steph gets injured they are going to be terrible Poole has showed that he can avg 26/5/5 on good splits when steph isnt there CP can’t do that at all and has Gotten into with his teammates on every team he been on that has players with dominant personalities

  10. 1- The Draymond/Poole relationship was unsalvageable. 2- The new CBA was gonna screw GSW. 3- If the cp3 experiment doesn't work out, he's gonna be a super valuable trade piece. 4- Warriors starters had the best +/- in the league, now their bench will be far more productive. I love the trade

  11. I think Chris Paul will not be a Warrior the entire year…he will be used as trade bate for a desperate team

  12. I can’t wait to push the narrative that CP couldn’t win with KD, but CP could win with Curry

  13. It's crazy how egotistical these guys are about the bench. Not being a starter doesn't mean you get 30 seconds of playing time, which is what ultimately matters.

  14. I don't think CP3 will hold up enough and the second unit is gonna have to play vastly different than the first cause they're a fast team and CP doesn't play fast

  15. CP3 hasn't made any flat statement that he wants to be a starter. He has said he hasn't discussed his role with Steve Kerr. The man will converse with Steve Kerr about his role. If it's ok with him he'll do what needs to be done. If he's not happy he'll say so. The man is reportedly disliked because he's very in-your-face. But at least one knows where one stands. So at least things will be clear when the season begins…

  16. Chris Paul is not the same player….
First off Jordan Poole role was to score the ball because the warriors had g league players coming off the bench. He wasn’t asked to get players open shots .

Now what does Chris Paul do best. It’s pick and roll. Who is he throwing lobs too or setting up with the second unit or first unit? He also plays so slow which isn’t what warriors run it’s a consistent moving offense not Chris holding the ball for a pick…

Also curry isn’t young like people think he gets hurt too. Curry missed time this season who picked up the scoring it was Jordan Poole… do you think Chris can average 25 for a month if curry gets hurt the answer is no.

Also you said the warriors always figure it out well when the punch was made known. People said the warriors will figure it out guess what they didn’t….

Chris speaking like this is not good and won’t work for the warriors

Curry and draymond have both came off the bench at times for better of the team. Now Paul is coming in making it and issue

  17. Great video! Ive said since the trade went through that this is a Win-Win for golden state and CP. The warriors didn’t need inconsistency and drama with JP. They need someone like CP, who consistently shows he can contribute significantly, no matter the situation. The fact he is going to the BEST FIT of a team for his skill set, and no one likes it is baffling honestly. I’m not even his biggest fan but I’m looking forward to seeing him in this system. Casuals, please do more research before complaining about surface level issues!

  18. This has to be a reupload, work on getting a sponsorship so you don’t have to upload nonsense during the off season

  19. So let me get this straight the suns not having a point guard makes no sense but the warriors having 3 facilitators including draymond makes sense yall basketball iq is terrible 😅😅😅😅😅

  20. He’s definitely a better point guard than Poole, but one thing that haunts Chris Paul are the refs.
Just wait till you have Scott Foster getting yelled at by Paul & Draymond.

  21. Do NBA analysts and fans honestly believe that CP3 and the new rookies will enable GSW to defeat the Suns Nuggets and Lakers in the playoffs? I wonder if Kings and Rockets might challenge GSW. OKC can also be threat to GSW.

  22. 6:33 The other thing Paul has to do in order to win a title is to have the willingness to concede. Over the years, we've seen Paul have inexplicable playoff losses, but his are of the catastrophic kinds: collapses like his 3-1 to Rockets or failing to go up 3-0 vs. Bucks in Finals, injuries at the most inopportune times, and trying to micromanage everything to a tea to the detriment of his teammates. But when you look at his history of flopping, complaining to officials, and throwing cheap shots as means of getting an easy win, the playoff losses feel more karmic. His fight with Rajon Rondo ended up exposing Paul as an evil player, and was exiled to lottery tanking Thunder as a sort of punishment for his antics. Having to play for Warriors has to be the greatest bruise to his ego in his life, and with this being his last chance at a ring, Paul may have no other choice but to swallow his pride, admit his shortcomings, and be willing to take an even reduced role to the point of DNP-CD. The hardest test Paul will ever face is being a mature basketball player by respecting his teammates and not usurping control from Curry and Kerr.

  23. I laugh at those other youtubers who are so bitter that their idol didn't get cp3 and they keep posting videos that this trade is going to be a mess. So many BITTER BRONSEXUALS out there.

  24. Personally. I expect Pooles value to stagnate or plummet. Hes not a good basketball player.

  25. 2021 shouldve made it pretty obvious cp3 cannot start for a team with championship aspirations

Cant be the oldest, shortest, and slowest guy on the court and not get punished for it.

  26. Chris Paul needs to eat meat and grow his beard back. He'll get a ring.

  27. CP3's salary was only half non-guaranteed if he was cut before June 28th, the entire 30 million is now guaranteed for this coming season.

I've been a warrior's fan for over 30 years, the CP3 trade is copium. The warriors are NOT a contender, this is a first round playoff exit team. This team is old, and slow and small, that's not going to win anything in the playoffs. There never was a two timelines plan, Joe Lacob laid out the key part of it recently: the plan was to develop the young guys so that they could take over when the old guys were ready to step down. Jordan Poole's problem was never with Draymond, it was always with Klay Thompson. Poole wanted to be a starter and Klay wasn't going to step down. The chemistry that they won a title with broke.

The only way to keep contending with a roster of past their prime stars is to bring in enough young talent that gets better quickly to offset the effects of time decay. That's what this video is missing: Steph, Klay, Draymond and Paul aren't getting BETTER, they are getting WORSE each year. They have no young talent to offset that decay and keep the team balanced. The only two young players to survive the purge were Kuminga and Moody, and their path to a starting job is blocked by Klay and Draymond, it's only a matter of time until both of them get traded too.

The older vets were not willing to step down as the young players were ready to step up, the warriors chose the vets over the young players. That's fine, and I think most warriors' fans are okay with that, but be honest about the choice: the warriors are no longer a contender, they are a late stage dynasty.

  28. Ngl you gotta stop shaving man. You look like butter beans cousin lol great vid tho 👍🏾

  29. The two timeline idea was bold but ultimately ineffective. You can't rebuild when you're currently running a dynasty, and I'm glad the Warriors finally realized this, even though it cost them the 2022-23 season.

  30. Damn…tough way to go out for an NBA first ballot legend. The mere idea of CP3 coming off the bench running a half court set for GSW is cringeworthy if not nauseating. I'd say he deserved better if he didn't have 18 seasons to get it done. Still, I don't look forward to watching this miscast.

  31. This move made perfect sense to me at first, and I dont see CP3 going Carmelo. Only issue is health
