This team is old, and slow and small, that's not going to win anything in the playoffs. There never was a two timelines plan, Joe Lacob laid out the key part of it recently: the plan was to develop the young guys so that they could take over when the old guys were ready to step down. Jordan Poole's problem was never with Draymond, it was always with Klay Thompson. Poole wanted to be a starter and Klay wasn't going to step down. The chemistry that they won a title with broke.
The only way to keep contending with a roster of past their prime stars is to bring in enough young talent that gets better quickly to offset the effects of time decay.
