On the Luka/Kyrie āhot potatoā finish, I read that differently. I donāt think they worried about stepping on each others toes. I saw 2 stars each going overboard to facilitate their teammateās game winning shot. Kyrie was trying to show that he was there, not to take over, but to be a great #2. Luka seemed to want to show Kyrie that he recognized his greatness and was embracing him as a full partner. The result sucked and made us cringe, but maybe both their hearts were in the right place?

You cant just say the roster doesnt matter if no one can create aside from Luka. Now his defense, im with you.
@Nick: I am with you, that Williams should be more consistent from 3… BUT here is why that 44% on 5+ 3's stat is misleading. In our system EVERY shooter has to shoot whenever they are open. Noo matter if they already missed 3 or 4 or 5 3's that day. If Williams had an off night and missed 3 3's… he just wasnt taking any more 3's… on our team he will. If he was on and shot like 2 of 3, he would go on and shoot more.
So lets wait and see if he can up his volume and still shoot when he has an off night.
I think the Mavs would still like to trade THJ, McGee, sign-and-trade Wood, to get another good center, if they could. But, maybe there's no deal out there.
Honestly I don't get why the Mavs wouldn't at least try to start Holmes or Lively at center at the start of the season. At least TRY. If it really doesn't work that's when you go with same old Dwight Powell.

Don't know how many games were covered in their deliberate tank to try for a higher pick. My thinking is maybe they COULD'VE been way better at the end of last season, but chose not to be. Just being optimistic that a full summer with Kyrie back and more players, they will compete.
If we don't get better around the rim we will not be better. It's still our biggest weakness.
I hope they do something before the season.
Richaun Holmes is 6ā8ā and we all know Lively will probably play more on the Legends than he does on the Mavericks

For the mavs to get to the playoffs Luka and Kyrie need a two man game, unless they get a lot better on defense. I don't really know which one is more likely, or both perhaps.
