Pretty close to what I think would happen if we are involved. Especially if reports of like 3 other teams having interest in herro are true. I’d pull the trigger in a heartbeat but most folks around here don’t even want to give up a first.

Id love it pending Herros hand and how he feels about playing in San Antonio.

Hard pass. I’d rather take the gamble on Jovic

What’s the point of having OKC involved here.

Honestly lets cut the middleman out and go after Anfernee Simons. Dude is a baller

It’s not terrible value for Herro in a vacuum, but idk how well Herro fits our roster
Can he play point?
Dev Vassell is younger, cheaper, and plays better defense

Why would we throw in McDermott?
We have plenty of useless salary. Replace Dougie with Birch and Payne and I’d do it.

I’d do that tbh. That’s prob about the realistic min ur adding to get him. Unlike a lot of Spurs fans Who think he’s redundant on this roster? I actually think he adds a skill set we really don’t have as a premier on ball scoring option. Who simultaneously draws a ton of attention off ball.
While he’s not a true point guard, he’s a better facilitator than our current guard/wing options
He would add a ton to the roster and the closer to the end of his deal we get the easier he will be to move as long as he doesn’t completely fall off a cliff, which I doubt he will. If anything, I think he still has a lot of room to grow
I’ve always been pretty critical of him as a player, but that’s typically been through the lens of viewing him as a star, which heat fans have always pushed him as
As a potential third option/ low and all star. His current level and projectable ability moving forward isn’t bad at all and I think he would add a lot of value if all it cost was a role player, a couple seconds and a protected pic

That is a good trade for all parties involved it seems.

Herro’s contract is 25m/yr for many years. I’d only give up the protected Charlotte 1st and some 2nds and expiring role players for him.
