I wanted him when he was in Detroit with Derrick rose. Since then he has been exposed season after season

  2. ThisOneGoes211

This could really shake up the race for the 8 seed 😈

  3. theshindy

He’d be a consistent 20/10 guy and it’d be nice to have a real starting 4 for the first time in two seasons, but my goodness, the defensive acumen of a Wood/Vooch frontcourt would be equal to wet paper

  4. Cinco_5

This feels like Wood’s agent or someone in the Mavs front office trying to use the Bulls as leverage.

Couldn’t they platoon PWill / CWood? One is all defense, one is all offense.

  6. Dredizzle

If he comes off the bench, sure why not

  7. RobertoRosalesFTW

There are some obvious concerns about him, but if we sign him on a cheap deal, I wouldn’t mind at all.

He’s a talented baller that would bring us some versatility, y’all are acting like we want to bring him for some serious money to be the cornerstone of the franchise.

It’s a low risk move that could prove to be great, so – why not 🤷

1 year DPE and dangle him as trade bait. I cannot handle this man on anything else, he’s literally everything the fanbase hates in a player.

We need Pj Washington not wood

I haven’t watched the Mavs. But feel we could do a lot better than a guy who’s been on 7 teams in 8 years. And 13.6M/yr?

Let the Lakers have him, that Reaves contract was a home run so they’re in clear need of some bad deals

  11. Milkboy1516

If we had lost both DJJ and Drummond, then sure, but Drummond makes him redundant. Playing them together is like doubling the same problems they have, and no way should he start next to Vucevic that’s a disaster defensively.

As a backup 5 he’s cool but we’re not the team to invest anything into him.

  12. Drclaw411

We haven’t been used as leverage in a while. Cool.

  13. Pause_4_Effect

He’s someone I’d be fine with using the DPE used on. His upside gives us what we need and he has the chance to grow with a young core while learning from great vets at his position and in general.

The ever credible “sources familiar with the team’s free agent persuits”.
    Wtf!

  15. GranddaddySandwich

So we’re not getting him lol. Bro wants to go to LA. His source is tryna get him more money.

  16. moneyman2222

I’d only want him as a salary filler. Would have to have a first attached to him in what I’d assume is a DeRozan trade, which also makes no sense for the Mavs anyways

Just once I’d like to know who’s authorized to speak publicly. I certainly am not.

Feels like Drummond would be out with a sign and trade if Wood signs?

  20. SingingVagabond

I been screaming that we need to give him a shot all summer. If hes cheap hes something the bulls could utilize.
