James Harden is trying to force himself out of the 76ers despite recently opting in to his $35.6M deal for the 2023-2024 season.
With Harden aiming to go to the Clippers, Daryl Morey is clear that he will not trade him unless the 76ers receive a “star player” in return.
This is part of the reason why I wasn’t excited about James Harden coming back to Houston. There’s a character flaw that’s becoming more and more glaring as time goes by.

Harden has now forced his way off every team he has played for except okc.
Morey is weird for this ngl. I mean I do understand It is business but damn. If you promised him a payday after taking a paycut and then not following through then I don’t blame harden for leaving.
Ok u/dmorey
“As time goes by”…. he’s always been a diva. This is the monster turning on Dr. Frankenstein
Every GM needs to deal this way in my opinion if you don’t like the deal on the table don’t trade for peanuts. These are superstars that value their legacies harden is on a 1 year but guys like Dame are signed for 4 years. If they don’t want to play where they are sent, too bad their career is essentially over by the time the deal is up.
Daryl has really lost his touch
