Belichick is one of the worst GM in the league. He did spend like crazy after Brady left. He broke the FA record on spending that year, yet the Patriots still sucked. Belichick is not a great H.C or GM. His record without Brady is under .500 which is worse than Rex Ryan's and he had Butt Fumble Sanchez. He is a great defensive coach though, but that's all he is.
Bedard is an idiot. The Pats spent on Agholor & Bourne a few years ago. And it was a waste of money. Just spending more in free agency is not an "I win" button.
Brady was perfect for patriots communist system. He took pay cuts and made receivers better w his passing accuracy.
Felger is 100% spot on with Bill's pettiness and looking after his guys.

Bedard is an idiot. Every rule in the NFL caters to offense for the entertainment value of more scoring appealing to the gambling fantasy football goobers and casual fans. When the rules are in your favor you should not need the best talent. You are getting help form the rules. When the NFL rules are against the defense you need the better talent to overcome or make up the difference in the rules that are against you. He's a dope to not grasp it. He brings up 2011 when they lost the SB and only got there because everything fell perfectly for them playing a sweet schedule on the path in the postseason. More importantly his argument for why you don't need defense and only need offense is 2011 where the team couldn't score more than 17 points and the defense couldn't make a stop. Really? 🤣🤦🏿♂
Without Tom Brady, Belichick has been exposed as mediocre.
Giving up a 2nd round pick for Mohamed Sanu a few years ago was an eregious overpay too.

I have been all over this as well. There was a Poin in the last decade where it hit a real big Head when Bill didn't get his way with Jimmy G but it started actually even before that. Bill is Defensively biased to a Fault. Hasn't grown and is getting exposed. Bill refuses to pay for real offensive guys
I was about as big of a Belichick fan as they come but I can’t do it anymore. His stubbornness and inability to identify impactful offensive weapons has gotten me to the point of flipping out now. He absolutely refuses to switch it up and realize the NFL runs off high powered offenses and is stuck in his own philosophy.
