  1. I hope he can improve but I don't see anything. I don't see him getting minutes with the other guards we have!

  2. Blake Wesley to this point has been inconsistent. I don't know if he is future rotation piece. But if we gave Lonnie walker, Luka Samanic, 4 & 3 yrs. of opportunities we should do the same to Wesley i think after this 2nd year under system will tell a lot.

  3. The Spurs don't even have a good lead guard.

Don't expect anything very good next season. Wait for the next draft…the Spurs need a really good Lead Guard.

Blake? Send him to the G-League.

For this season, expect the Spurs to win 30 Games. Next season, 45. Next next season, 55-60 games and contend.

This will only happen if OUR Spurs will draft a very good lead guard. Preferably a Four Year Guard who Graduated from College!

I am sick and tired of these One and Done Prospects!!!!!!!!!!

    PATHETIC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Two of the Greatest Spurs were Seniors!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Tim Duncan and David Robinson!

Americans Basketball Athletes are getting Dumb Year by Year!!!!!!!!!!! No Friggin College Education!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    I mean…Sochan as a Point Guard?

    STUPID!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  4. I strongly disagree. Getting blocked so many times is a good sign. Most players shy away once they get blocked in the paint. Too much raw ability to give up on. I thought he ran the plays extremely well, and he brought in a mid range pull-up that he didn't have last season. I think he's gonna take time to develop. But the potential ceiling is huge

  5. Are we just on click bait topics now? Already read this article, and not watching this vid just because of the bait title.
Itā€™s been 1 yearā€¦I mean damn, give the dude more time than Luka Samanicā€¦
Defensively, Wesley was reminding me of a young Dejounte this summer league. He was picking everyone.

  6. I like what you said in the last minute. He is not good enough right now, but I hope him well in the future.

  7. haha youre giving chances with 24 years old 27 years old even older players. why give up witha 20 year old with full of potential. even luka samanic is still playing in the jazz now.. blake is more coachable than him and work harder. if you think he doesn deserve to play in NBA. think again. some teams will pick him up just like samanic

  8. Avery Johnson used to get his shot blocked alot. WTF does that mean? We can give Samanic and Lonnie Walker a long look but give up on this guy after one year…smh! This article and video is nonsense..straight up!

  9. The Spurs nation has been treating a lot of rookies unfairly since the "Kawhi incident". First, they hyped up every mid-late first to be the new savior, when it was clearly out of their pay grade, then bashed them when they didn't fit their expectations.

All I got to say, is it's braindead to judge a rookie just based on his first season, especially since Blake was injured halfway in. He deserved that 4 years like they gave Lonnie, maybe judge him
    in 2025,definitely not now…

I can sort of understand Blake's frustration in SL tho since Jeremy and Malaki were both more
complete on draft night, they got a massive head-start. Then when Blake was trying to catch up
an injury let him down, and he is so eager to prove himself, which leads to a lot of mistakes.
Don't forget, he just turned 20 in March, he is still younger than a lot of rookies in this class.
Just be patient before judging someone, you might miss a lot of context within.

  10. Hi TSR Sports! Too early to give up on him. I'd say give him 2-3 years to develop. Remember these guys are one and done. They are not finished products that come to the NBA. I have a hunch the organization will utilize the Tony Parker development book to tutor Blake Wesley. Thanks

  11. this is a make or break year..because he doesnt have to be a world beater he just has to show improvement ..and i havent seen it at least in summer league…unfortuatly for him wemby was drafted to the spurs so they are going to want to expedite that pg position

  12. The reason I see something in Blake is his size mixed with athleticism, a 6'5 combo with a long
wingspan that can hop easily? Of course, nothing is guaranteed, but just think about our current roster, Devonte is obviously not a long-term, Cam nah, Tre is still young, but his potential…I don't
need to say much. Blake is easily the most talented combo guard on our roster, and since we
don't have any guard with a better upside, might as well give him more time.

The only thing I can see the Spurs giving up on him earlier than his rookie contract is that we immediately draft a high-value PG next season, and he's clearly the solution. Otherwise, Blake
is not getting moved before 2025~2026.

  13. He just needs more time, i believe he may be just a slower learner, not everyone picks it up right away…

  14. I love Wesley Iā€™d much rather have him over Payne Wesley is a bucket getter just needs to stop turning over the ball

  15. Big mistake to give up on Wesley right now. He has what it takes, athletically and competitively. He just needs playing time and patience. His upside is high IMO.

  16. Speaking of time to move on I donā€™t think Spurs should go after Rudy who used to play for them since he got waived by Thunder since he got traded from Jazz to Hawks

  17. Id like to see what Sidy and Sir Rice have to offer and keep Wesley in Austin for the time being. Cam Payne is gonna get a good bit of run too.

  18. Off topic TSR but I heard Ricky Lombardo and Ron Jambo covering whatā€™s going on with NFL running backs as they think it is a interesting topic to discuss

  19. Spurs will give him a chance as long as he puts in the effort. Samanic is a good example of what happens when there is a lack of it

  20. Wesley needs more time to develop. He needs playing time to figure things out. Hopefully to correct mistakes. Hes young, he will develop with more time on the court rather than more time sitting on the bench. I can see the upside with wesley.

  21. I don't think he will ever be what we would want him to. He's not a great shooter, he doesn't understand how to use his speed with a change of pace to get defenders off balance and he makes bad decisions.
He's a Westbrook type of talent with a ceiling lower than current aged Westbrook, Westbrook's mistakes and holes in his game were carried by unbelievable athleticism and drive, Wesley doesn't have that.
I do also believe because his position, making him try to learn all that he needs fixed on the court only stunts the growth of the players around him.
