Siakam saying he isn’t going to re up anywhere is surely a factor lol. We all know he isn’t a 1a superstar (like kawhi) and isn’t going to swing a team by himself.
The reported trades are still shit but they are a reflection of that. If he had more years or a willingness to re up, this would have been done imo.
I’m so sick of this whole thing about other teams being annoyed of our FO. Our FO’s job does not include giving you our guys for free.
This how Jake Fischer got this intel , he probably talked to people around said teams that had interest in some Raptor players aka Pascal , OG.
And those same people said we heard they(Front Offices) were offering Raptors FO players and picks but the Raptors didn’t budge.
In other words the teams Front Offices that are or were interested in the Raptor players were offering hot garbage …and Toronto FO gave the deuces sign saying peace nice talking with you and went there way.
Jake took this as Raptors front office sucks to deal with and are wasting their time….thanks Jake LOL….but I think the OTHER teams are wasting the Raptors Front Offices time by lowballing them.

Why’s everyone so quick to defend the FO every time? This is the second major report and the fact no deal has been made gives it some legitimacy.

Real Story: Teams thought they could take advantage of the Raptors FO because of the disappointing season. They thought they could nab our players at a discount and now are frustrated because our FO was having none of it.
All this talk from the media criticizing our FO and yet not a single trade rumor from one of these “frustrated teams” that any one of you guys would’ve accepted.
I forget which podcast I heard this on, but the frustration with our FO is the fact that they’re stringing other teams along to gather info and bail at the last minute.
This team is garbage, idk how the front office hasn’t seen it.
I doubt all 29 teams are frustrated to that degree, but I can see some teams that have tried to work with this FO that gets cold feet last minute multiple times to feel this way. We are all human and vibes do matter
