I think we shouldn't try to rush the rebuild process I don't like the idea of trading for a aging PG Lillard does not make us a contender right now

I like the Spurs took in Cameron Payne, it's a win-win honestly, we got a second round, and another PG who can shoot 3s . One year left in his contract so he's gonna be an FA next season, with a 6.5 m salary and he's just 28. If he plays well enough we could offer him another
contract, if not then losing him will be totally fine.
The only thing I'm thinking of after this deal is that Devonte should be moved asap,
we took on his horseshit contract for serval second rounds, now the only way to rid him is to put him in a trade as a salary equalizer.

No, they should not get Damian Lillard. He is 32 and does not fit the Spurs' timeline.
I wouldn't want Lillard, knowing now what a selfish baby he is, that's not Spurs character.
Have you noticed the Spurs are stockpiling players and picks? Maybe we trade Reggie Bullock , Cam Payne , Lamar Stevens , rights to overseas player, a 1st and 3 second round picks for Lillard
We are not getting Jamie Jaquez out of this. The trade is probably gonna be Cam Payne/Devonte Graham (one of the two) to the miami heat, doug mcdermott to portland, one or two first round picks to miami and some second round picks here and there. We getting herro (nice imo, portland dont want him) and a poisonous nurkic for cap space (we sanding basically nothing for herro but we getting nurkic ass contract). Portland is getting all the first round picks miami has, lowry, jamie jaquez and jovic. Miami is getting Lillard

I'm very excited about a few of our players (Sochan, Sandro Mamu, and Cissoko to name a few)), BUT I think we still need a Manu Ginobili-type ((even Boris helped in that area))who "brings it all together" with their ability to get teammates involved and run a very efficient "Beautiful Game" offense! Go Spurs!!
Yeah.. lets calm down with the 2024 pick. We dont know how well we‘ll play next year, predictions still put us in the bottom half of the league, which would mean our 1st round pick might be very well worth much more than the 18th pick, which is the value of Jaime right now.
Nope, I think we need to crawl before we walk. They just picked up Cam and Rice can play the 1 or 2 if needed. The Spurs are holding some good cards, let’s see what happens in the first half of the season and if needed make a trade after. Dame will just cause friction by taking away from Wemby’s scoring.

I don’t think it makes sense for spurs to get Dame. Dame wants to contend and adding Dane to our current roster doesn’t make us a contender and it doesn’t help with the development of our core guys. If we was 2 years from now I feel we could do it. I just feel it’s too early when we just finished 1st year of the rebuild.
