I think Portland’s been clear, they want everything in Miami that isn’t nailed to the ground save for Bam and Jimmy

  2. psofimis

    (M)What do you want?

    (P)Your best offer.

(M)Tell us exactly what do you want!

    (P)Your best offer.

    (M)We are still waiting..

  3. Portland wants their best offer, isn’t that sort of self explanatory?

  4. iamadragan

Lol this is dumb. They can offer what they got any time, they don’t need the blazers to spell it out. Miami knows

  5. SquimJim

Heat can be frustrated, but the Blazers have all the time in the world.

Heat best offer is waiting until September. Why? At that point Orlando Robinson can be traded. Does his talent and potential actually tip the scales? No, but once he’s eligible to be traded, the Blazers no longer have to take back either Duncan Robinson or Kyle Lowry because salary-matching then works out perfectly for everyone else.

Miami’s actual best offer that doesn’t include Butler + Bam:

    – Herro + Martin + JJJ + Jovic + Highsmith + Orlando Robinson + 3 firsts + whatever 2nd’s + pick swaps they have

(the 3rd first coming from a relatively easy protection lift)

Edit: I’m not saying this should be the deal, I’m just saying this is, theoretically, the best the Heat could offer. If the Heat are wondering what the Blazers mean by “your best offer” this would be it. Not saying the Heat should do this or not.

I am getting so bored with this lol. This is just another way of saying there is no new news.

  7. NbaAllDAYger

Would be funny to see , Dame and Harden playing the entire season on the same team lol

  8. FFFreak999

Isn’t more of the pressure on Miami at this point? They put all their eggs into this Damian Lillard basket. If they don’t get him…now what? I still think Boston and Milwaukee are better teams. If I’m Portland, maybe I’ll just wait this out and I asked for bam and see what happens. There’s no real rush for me as the Portland GM.

  9. archerarcher0

    Lol get fucked Miami

It’s pretty obvious what your best offer is, it’s all the young guys/picks, wake the fuck up

  10. Cool_Cold_5554

This is nonsensical. Miami is the one who wants to trade for Lillard. It’s on Miami to come up with an offer.

  11. creedisgud

Media continues to carry Miami’s water lol

  12. PaintTouches

Miami acting like my HS gf right now is crazy

  13. Proper_Hurry_362

The sense of entitlement from MIA is nauseating. Good Joe, let these assholes stew.

  14. dys0n_giddey

Someone just do something so we don’t need to read anymore of these nothingburger Chris Haynes Tweets

  15. rzoneking

wow the caption, is like the conversation of my ex and me.

  16. SerTimtheDuncan

It’s like my wife and I negotiating what to eat for dinner.

  17. This_Cable_5849

Miami wants to know what Portland wants? They want your best damn offer. Not that difficult

  18. bluesbrothas

No lowball offers. I know what I have energy

  19. Various_Eye_2125

If it’s just a delay tactic then the whole point is not to say

  20. CosmicJuggernaut6381

all this & Dame still gonna have 0 rings at the end of his career.

  21. DameDildo

Make them wait. They will be either be super desperate when they are a 500 team or Dame will agree to go somewhere else.

  22. Weak-Boysenberry3807

Jimmy + Bam + whatever picks Miami have left? Where’s the problem, let’s settle this deal once and for all.

  23. 0DegreesCalvin

[Chris Haynes] “Miami’s frustrated that Portland isn’t bending over and accepting Jovic and a conditional second for Damian Lillard”

  24. donktastic

Miami is tired of bidding against themselves and tries to get Portland to start the bidding against themselves

  25. ThereAreDozensOfUs

It’s pretty obvious that the Heat aren’t offering anything of value and are just gaslighting Portland

  26. swalsh21

You have to MAKE AN OFFER you dipsticks my god

  27. dreamvomit

Heat need to stfu. Superstar falls in their lap and their response is “we want him on our schedule!” Like a spoiled toddler

  28. Efficient_Tonight_40

If Miami wants Dame so bad then they should offer Bam. Expecting Portland to be interested in trading their franchise All NBA level player for shitty draft picks, a late first round project, and a 22 year old with a low ceiling is laughable. This is like if the Lakers said Ingram and Lonzo were untouchable, and offered the Pels Josh Hart and Kuzma for AD instead

  29. Kid_Crayola

“the heat are upset that their shitty package wasn’t accepted immediately”

  30. Haunting-Bag-6686

Straight up the Diablo 2 trading experience

    Player 1: wat u want

    Player 2: wat u got

Repeat in any order until someone gets dropped from game.

  31. Jacksontibeteverett

Let’s remember here that Chris Haynes is just a mouthpiece for Dame and everything he says is to support and help him get what he wants

  32. Prestigious-Rock201

Boohoo, Miami and their fans should understand they aren’t owed shit whatsoever.

I’m starting to think Lillard won’t be traded to the heat at all, another team will swoop in and surprise people

  33. davemoedee

    (P) We want Bam. (M) Tell us what you want that isn’t Bam.

At that point, are they supposed to provide a list of all the NBA players they would like that Miami should try to grab? There just doesn’t seem to be a deal to be made there unless other teams really over-value Miami assets. If they can’t even come up with a 3 or more team deal, that means the league is kind of in agreement that Miami has bad assets.

  34. Niceguydan8

    > “Dame’s frustrated w/ how things are moving slowly. Portland’s telling them bring us your best offer. Dame would like to know what Portland wants & Dame isn’t getting that answer. Dame feel like things could be moving quicker if Portland said exactly what they want”

    FTFY Haynes

  35. Dinstruction

After years of terrible negotiating under Olshey, I’m glad the Blazers are playing hardball. As an Oregonian who moved to the Northeast, I can tell you that Oregonians aren’t natural negotiators, and it’s led to them being screwed in the past in multiple ways (not just in basketball).

  36. silversmith84

Haynes BS as usual. Both teams know what Miami has to offer, it’s not worth it. They will get so much more if they wait til the trade deadline.

  37. Hogo-Nano

Portland has leverage to make Miami overpay. Everyone knows he will end up in Miami but they could honestly just keep delaying until they include extra FRP’s. Since they are rebuilding I doubt they even care if Lillard sits out.

  38. Confident-Wheel8721

Miami should not push for Lillard anymore, let them deal with him. Let’s run it back with our undrafted dawgs.

  39. TheModernAgeNB

LOL. What do they want? They want to not trade Lillard. Seriously, why does Miami feel like they deserve Lillard for scraps because they are the only team willing to trade for him right now?

Portland can just, I dunno, hold onto Lillard for years. They don’t need to do anything right now.

  40. ABoyIsNo1

How am I not surprised this was posted by a Heat flair. Only a Heat fan could share this Heat FO lip service with a straight face.

  41. jayelecfan

they don’t want your shit offer Miami

  42. s_other

    Portland: What’s your best offer?

    Miami: This is it.

    Portland: ….

    Miami: ….

    Portland: I just think it’s funny that…

  43. Rican2153

I now hate Dame, Portland, and MIA all the same now because of this.
