They have a infatuation of small ball. If he signs with golden state, he will get some experience but then I’m gonna play him just leave like they did James Wiseman. If the Warriors can't make James Wiseman work than Kai Sotto won't work out. Also Looney wasn't a Center at the draft nor was he unproven he was just hurt. Alen Smailigic is one of the most brainless warriors draft picks in recent memory considering he was already a Santa Cruz Warrior before the draft who was unlikely to be drafted.

Kai’s lack of aggressiveness is chronic. He’s done it in NBL and JBL. NBA is only a dream for him if he is not changing his mindset.
It makes a lot of sense for the Golden State Warriors to sign Kai. There's a lot of Filipinos living in the Bay Area and the GSW is regularly celebrating Filipini Heritage nights. So Kai belongs here. And the fans would love to see Kai play for the Golden State Warriors. There's a lot of GWS fans even here in the Philippines. So why not use 1 of their 2 way contracts on Kai. They can train and develop Kai to work on his perceived weaknesses. Once Kai hits his prime? I tell you this, he's gonna be a monster. He can be a point center like Draymond but he is someone who can shoot the 3 and perimeter. He can be a rim protector and a shot blocker. Kai has plenty of upsides. He's worth the 2 way contract.

I think it makes sense to sign Kai Sotto to their G-league team from a marketing stand point. It would definitely please the pinoy fans in the area, but realistically, he would never step foot on the court for any meaningful minutes unless he changes the way he plays. He is too slow for today's bigs, but also too soft as an old school big, Draymond will beat him to death for not playing proper defence. Kai stepping on court will be like Sim Bhullar for the Kings, it's just a gimmick.
