Kings enter dog days of summer, but are they done adding players?

Fox 40’s Sean Cunningham, Brenden Nunes from the Kings Pulse Podcast and The Kings Beat’s James Ham join forces for coverage of the exciting Sacramento Kings.

Topics include a review of Las Vegas Summer League, Jalen Slawson makes an impact late, what the Nerlens Noel addition means for Neemias Queta, have the Kings improved their depth, understanding the offseason roster and another edition of The Business of Basketball centered around stars asking for trades and whether the Sacramento is done with their offseason roster renovation.

Thanks for joining us on this adventure! Big shoutout to Paul Jinkerson (@paulitition) for creating a new intro and outro for the podcast and to Brenden for creating our new overlay for the podcast.

  1. Slater was absolutely spot on with his Keegan analysis. Was also spot on with the Sasha takes too.

Assuming Keegan makes the leap we all expect, the Kings will be contenders in no time. We literally had the best offense in NBA history with Keegan being a spot up shooter. If he goes from the 5th option to a 2nd option, the entire league is in trouble.

With the Sasha stuff, Joe Ingles is a solid comparison. He was really good for Utah. But Sasha will most likely be better than that. I’d say his impact is more like Bojan Bogdanovic. His off ball movement honestly makes me horny. We already have Huerter, Keegan, Lyles, Barnes who are fantastic off the ball. Adding Sasha is just incredible. I fully expect us to break the single season Offensive Rating Record once again.

  2. I think Sasha can be a Tony Kukoc type. A guy that can hit some shots, moves well without the ball, makes smart plays, and helps you win. But you're still relying on your stars.
