  1. Good on Mike forcing the issue.m.he could have paid it himself sbd ut would have been pennies to him but he did the right thing. Thats part if why he'll always be the GOAT!

  2. I remember watching this live, I was just a kid, though so I don't remember him not being paid – I'm certain that would've been on the local news for a while, but I don't remember that bit at all.

  3. I mean it's just like these lottery tickets or wheel of fortune, they pay a very small amount over decades and if you somehow violated the rules they'll find any excuse to not pay you. It just goes to show, don't buy the lottery tickets in the first place.

  4. I for one hear that Michael Jordan was a hard person to work with on the field. This I would say had more to do with delegation. One has to be hard but if you work hard and expect others to work just as hard. This might be very frustrating for some who wants full management of the events. That said for Michael Jordan to do this with his team suggests that he expects results as one should expect them. I for one don't know him. Yet to me actions are of higher value than words. Seems he is also in the same mind set. One has to work hard to get what you want. Yet one should get payed for that as well. One has to respect that from him.

  5. Appalling!? I've been without a TV of decent size for over 5 years. The 65 inch set would be amazing to win!

  6. The companies involved make more money in a day than that check was worth.

Huge respect to the players that stood up for what was right.

  7. Wasn't it illegal to have a contest or a raffle without showing that the winner actually won the said prize? Why no one investigated this?

  8. TLDR, it was in the rules that you must not have played in a basketball team within 5 years in order to qualify. They made him take a shot anyway. The MJ talked to the ownership and told them they need to pay up. So he got paid.

    Saved you 15min.

  9. This is why ALL insurance companies are nothing but a scam. I'm glad I ain't part of any insurance plans. If my car does break down all of a sudden, I'll be happy to pay the direct deposit than to keep paying monthly payments to those rats.

  10. Micheal Jordon and those other players are absolute legends heaps of good karma to all of them, what i want to know is who was the scum bag insurance company? did they get negative press? and i hope it cost them millions in lost business!

  11. I cannot believe how much effort those companies make to avoid paying the reward even if the person manage to get the luckiest shoot in his/her life.
