[Highlight] Aaron Gordon was whistled for a foul on this Jimmy Butler three point shot attempt. Denver challenged the call and it was upheld by the referees. A big call by the officials as Butler makes all 3 FTs to cut the lead to 1 with 3:21 remaining and the Nuggets up 3-1 for the Championship

The most ridiculous upheld review I’ve ever seen in the NBA. It makes absolutely no sense.
One of the worst calls ever? Reviewed and still upheld, seemed sus
Jimmy sticks his leg up this way many times when no one is around. This call is not that bad as people claim it is.
refs really blatantly tried to swing a couple of games against Denver in MIA and LAL favor
there were some horrendous stretches were they made 4-5 bad calls against Denver in a row
Nuggets were such a superior team that it wasn’t enough to do much besides give Miami 1 game
but jeez, if you really wanna extend the series that bad, wouldn’t it make more sense to be more subtle? instead of 4 bad calls in a row, do 1 every quarter and do some no-calls the other way too. come on now
Clown
Jimmy loves kicking out on his jumpers and falling down if he can’t jump into a defender
I still can’t believe Jimmy Butler did what he did against the Bucks this year just to completely disappear in the last 4-5 games of the ECF and the entire Finals (so basically the last 9-10 games of the playoffs). Dude completely tricked and fleeced people into thinking he turned things around after the Bucks series and of course it just hadddd to be a flash in the pan and fluke. Dude played scared the entire Finals. It’s like he was scared to even score or go after Jamal Murray or KCP or other smaller defenders on him on offense. He can score on Jrue at will, but he doesn’t even look to attack, post up, or drive on Jamal Murray and KCP on offense? Like wtf? If I see him passing out of wide open post up opportunities or dribbling the ball, coming to a stop, and then pump faking 5 times in a row or deferring to Bam and the role players early, I know it’s going to be a long game.
A true testament of how good a team is is when they can overcome ref ball. Nuggets overcame so many blatant calls against them throughout these playoffs
Most overrated player in the NBA. And fitting how with the season on the line, he has Jamal Murray on him 1 on 1 with no help whatsoever down by 1 with like 20 seconds left in the game and proceeds to throw the ball right at KCP for the game ending turnover. And then follows it up by bricking the game tying 3 just like he bricked the go ahead 3 vs the Celtics in Game 7 a year ago.
am I crazy for taking Brandon Ingram over jimmy? Idts after this finals performance
I hate Jimmy and refs but this was 100% a foul, swinging you leg slightly forward to balance when fading to the corner is perfectly natural and Gordon literally makes contact at the 3 point line, not like he jumped 2ft forward. Tough call but the right one from the officials.
Karen, the season is over. I understand you’d like to talk to manager.
That’s a foul get over it
Refs trying their best to extend the series lmao
Clearly, Gordon fouls him with his enormous dick!
I don’t get why this is still seen as controversial. Gordon is standing underneath where Jimmy needs to land and he tries to get out of the way but fails and makes contact. That is a foul.
it’s the dawg in him
Same exact play with a kickout, and in this one the defender is coming in hot.

It’s an offensive foul all day. You can’t extend your leg out in a kicking motion, case closed
Does this get called a flop next season since he falls to embellish the contact he creates by kicking out?
If it wasnt normal shooting motion than what was it because the very next play Murray kicks his leg out on a similar baseline fade away shot
This was so blatant lol
Can’t believe we didn’t have r/nba for this
Tough call but correct imho. He is clearly encroaching on Butlers landing space and it also looks like he is about to make contact at the knee as well.
This seems like a normal shooting motion for someone fading to the corner as well
I still can’t believe
This is a foul all day to me. NBA players are still allowed to kick their feet out when they shoot, just not excessively. This didn’t look that bad or even unnatural to me, it just looked a little wonky cause Butler’s leg abruptly hit Gordon’s King Kong Cock.
Regardless, BOTH Denver defenders were way too close to Jimmy Butler’s landing space according to NBA rules.
Miami had the refs on their side throughout the playoffs.
At worst it’s a no call. I don’t understand people who say that should be an offensive foul.
