No doubt Derrick White will be the starting PG over Brogdon. He’s simply the better overall player and he was the Celtics 3rd best player throughout last year. He was averaging 5.6 assists in SA before he got traded and he was playing with Murray, Keldon Johnson and Jakob Poeltl. He can certainly average 6+ APG with Tatum, Brown and KP, plus his defense is significantly better and Brogdon is less of an injury concern as the backup. I’m also quite confident Rob Williams will start over Al, but that is much closer than White/Brogdon.
Crazy how it’s make or break for Tatum and he’s only just turned 25 years old.. bron and Jordan didn’t even win a ring until they were 28.. why are the expectations so much different for him compared to everyone else (even the goats)?? So weird
When everyone refers to him as a max contract player, expectations are understandably higher. Fair or not, when you talk about that kinda $$$ and ramifications to the team’s salary cap. Expectations should be high 😮
They just lacked consistency. If Udoka was still HC they wouldve probably made it to the finals. They got coaching diffed way to many times. Mazzula is offensive minded, and lived/ died by the 3, while it also being his first HC job. Talent alone got them too the ECF, but thats not enough. They surrounded Mazzula with a LOT of experienced coaching staff so now theres no excuses
The only way the Celtics can win is if Tatum unleashes the dormant dog in him on both sides of the ball, smart is not there to clean up his mess anymore..
As a Celtics fan I must say….you’re over hyping Al Horford and being super optimistic if you think Jordan Walsh is going to get minutes in his first year unless Oshae Brissett gets hurt
Pump the brakes for a minute… we don’t even know what the roster will be…is brown still there or did they trade him…if they traded him who did they get…did they sign anyone else… lots of questions we still don’t know the answer to

I agree, if the C’s are healthy and don’t win it all I don’t think they ever will with Tatum and Brown.

this team reminds me of the 2008 roster.
They said this last season and still have glaring weaknesses. It will take Tatum and brown not choking for them to win it all

The most important prerequisite or criteria to win Championship for talented teams is always the “will” of the team.

They should’ve gotten swept to an injury plagued heat and just lost the 2 guys who had the heart to fight back in smart and grant will.
It’s also all irrelevant if Miami gets Dame. Denver Phoenix and Miami will be in a separate tier

Tatum is 26. It's not make or break for him. Jordan didn't win until his 7th season. Giannis too. Shaq too. LeBron too.

Derrick White he was the better point guard for the Celtics he learned very well in San Antonio under Popovich
Another thing, though that might happen is that the Celtics are trying to get John Wall for point guard so that’ll probably impact them a lot
