I agree so much with this! I know it’s crazy but some people actually think Wemby will be a bust and say the Spurs young core is terrible. Wemby’s teammates are very underrated and they will all be great roleplayers and possible all stars to help Wemby.
People just overlook Spurs as always

I don't think people are sleeping on them really from what I've seen they just say that alot of the guys are young and still developing, they are like the Rockets lot of good young talent but are still growing.

You got Wemby as your Tim Ducan, Vassel as your Manu, Sochan as your Kawhi Tre as Tony Parker, + Keldon is there and he can drop 20 a game on good effeciency.

I think Vassell is gonna be good enough to be the second best player on a contender. Next season he won't have to focus as much on offense and can instead focus more on defense where he slipped last year due to having to score.
Keldon percentages dropped this season because he was the main focus of the defense with Devin out a lot and Dejounte traded. He's not a number 1 option guy, with wemby and vassell very likely to make another leap his splits will go back up to elite. He's an elite catch and shooter and is good on drives at times
Sochan is actually good, people only knee him cause of the hair, free throes and some shots at other players but he got better and better as the season went on. It was very impressive how his offensive game grew
Malaki could definitely be a 20 ppg scorers a few times in his career. He's that good on offense, especially with a screen guy like Zach Collins that doesn't mind contact one bit
Speaking of, after the Jakob trade last season, Zach looked like the player Portland thought they were getting when they drafted him. 16 pts 8 rebounds I believe. He's a high energy guy, doesn't mind doing dirty work and if anyone messes with Wemby next year I guarantee him and Sochan will be in their faces
Tre is a true pg. He's a leader on and off the court and has his moments on defense, he takes good care of the ball which is what you want from a pg
I liked my spurs team even before Wemby but now it's looking like potentially another dynasty with a handful of core players

I just don’t get the hype around malaki and Blake Wesley. They just ain’t that good to me
These guys can be good but none of them project to be as good as J Dub and Chet(probably) which is why Thunder young core should be ranked 1st they have SGA too. Giddey at minimum cancels out Keldon he’s better rn and 3 years younger. No way will Vassell be better then J Dub I don’t see it. Chet will be better then Sochan the moment he steps on the court. Sochan is super inefficient 50.9% true shooting is terrible and his advanced numbers suck he can be a very good role player but probably nothing more

Vassell and Johnson are perhaps the most underrated wing duo in the league. They are already capable of combining for 40+ ppg on good efficiency with above average on and off ball defense.
Spurs dumped 8-10 games last year just by holding out guys that were not injured to tank. Then you add in Vassell being hurt half the year. Sochan, Barlow, and Champagnie are all ballin, but we need one of the point guards to take the next step.
I won’t sleep on their teammates, however I will sleep with them 😏
