Good evening everyone. Looking at this upcoming season both Mikal Bridges and Cam Johnson aka the Twins have been given the keys to Brooklyn leading this new core. Given both have been great defenders their responsibilities on the offensive side will be more increased this season and it will be great to see both of their progress. In Mikal Bridges case it would be great to see him go at the rim more consistently and just take over a game like he was at a few points last season. When his offensive flow is happening the team just plays with more energy.
In Cam Johnson's case it would be good to see his different versatile scoring come out more by getting to the rim and just finding more creative ways to score.
Overall it will be great to see the Twins bring fun competitive basketball back to Brooklyn 🔥….
But Ben Simmons returning to play at a high level defensively and more importantly as a playmaker on offense could really help the other core members increase their offensive sides as well…
Ben Simmons assists could really help teammates like Mikal Bridges Cam Johnson and Nic Claxton get better scoring opportunities and actually increase their offensive numbers more…
That's an important piece to this big puzzle that Brooklyn needs to see the results from Simmons and if he's available consistently the sky is the limit on this team's potential….
Honestly think they both should not be expected to carry the bulk of the load. They need to spread it. Have a well run offensive scheme. This side is more than capable of turning it on scoring wise with all the new additions.
Still think if Brooklyn acquires Tyler Herro for that 2025 loophole first round draft pick Brooklyn's offense gets stronger…
If the franchise actually backs them and gives them some defense
This team will struggle offensively because they won't start cam Thomas
You guys just described the missing offensive piece as everything cam Thomas does. Thomas can get his own shot and demands a double team. Thomas is a number 1 option. His gravity will open up the floor for everyone. I've seen cam hit clax for alley oops and pick and roll buckets too. Cam has saved this team a bunch of times and gets go respect
As much as I like both Mikal and CJ, I think it’s highly unlikely they can carry an offense, especially CJ. There most likely will be some improvement from both of them but I don’t think it will be anywhere near game changing. CJ especially is not a great ball handler, his handle is not tight and don’t see him able to be a consistent shot creator. Utilizing Cam Thomas more or trading for Herro would be a good step forward toward slowly building up this team.
