They have too many 1st daft picks not to take advantage of them. They have a chance to get the point guard of the future and a center. This up comying season will be to develop Wemby and see what works when it comes to line ups.
So far w/ the moves that we've made, it's hard to argue the tanking feeling. None of the trade acquistions are pieces to a pie to turn this team around this year, they're pieces to a rebuilding process w/ the draft capital included with those trades, future assets.
I don't think we'll be tanking, more so of just cruising!!! Spurs Organization is one the most underrated Franchise Ever, if not thee most. They gained all those 2nd rounders to use them at the right time, they have plenty of ammo, so they'll be looking to make a move when needed. also to touch on Blake Wesley, the kid is young, he'll be just fine!! Spurs4Life baby!!! 😎🤙💯💕
I doubt we tank. We might not go all out and try to win a championship, but the spurs don't tank. They barely tanked last year. They really just sucked.
From what I understand, there is little benefit to tanking this season (for a potential top pick). Acquiring first round pics for 2025 is a preferred move. Maybe we see early season moves that result in good pick positions later. Brian Wright came from an org that is set up as an entertainment club rather than as a competition club. Obviously Vic sells tickets, which makes money, but the fans want competition rather than just being 'Hey while we're visiting San Antonio, let's see a Spurs game.' On the other hand, the owners could say, 'Well you filled up the Alamodome and played in Austin without being a winning club, so…'
I wouldn't be against tanking as we are still a few years away from competing. I would rather us still focus on player development and see what works and what doesn't. That's more important than winning at this current moment.
I think the best strategy for development would be to play to win, always, but to use veterans sparingly. Next years draft is supposedly weaker at the top, so we don't need to tank for a lottery pick. Use our extra picks to trade up if necessary.
It's a soft tank, a development year with the emphasis on the future development of current players to see who will move forward and where they need upgrades with Wemby and not the emphasis on winning as many games as they can.
there will be interesting players for sure, especially point guard (collier 🇺🇸 that I like)
but I think they will still play their chances… but that probably won't be enough. Play-in would be great already for this year, wouldn't it? 😅
there will always be some star seeds if they don't rise too high in the draft, especially European ones like zacharie risacher 🇨🇵, alexandre sarr 🇨🇵 or buzelis 🇱🇹 but the last one is already high… I am french spurs fan since 2000s and TP by the way 😂
what will be spurs first choice without lottery? we don't know yet? we need a great point guard for the future I think
You guys do realize we were in a lot of those games we lost last year. We weren't losing by 20 every game. We were never tanking and it isn't about to start this year.
I don’t see it as tanking. I see it as seeing what we have because honestly we don’t know what we have. If we end up with another top pick in the process then cool.
I"m hoping it's something in between where the Spurs are keeping the young talent together to develop and not adding veteran help but, will also take a step forward with the talent they have and win more than last year. Probably a borderline play in tournament team. Doing too much to "tank" would seem to have issue that nobody is addressing. Let's hope the Hawks and others that they have draft picks from, doing enough losing to make those picks profitable.

Is it a tank or a rebuild and reload? Thanks for watching and GO SPURS GO!

The spurs will be a playoff team in three or four years if Victor Wembayama stays healthy

We definitely not going to be competitive this season but I’m ok with that

Any chance San Antonio Spurs bring back Romeo Langford TSR I would say probably not due to roster spots but wanted your thoughts on it

enough is enough 😂,
they think Pop is still young for another 10yrs coaching 😎

We might tank without meaning to. Reason I say that is because we are a young team and it’ll take time.
Best spurs channel in the game. I think I’ve been a weekly viewer for 3 years now. Don’t let these bandwagon channels discourage you.🎉😢

The Spurs are already talent-loaded even without the expected next-season improvement of several returning players.
How long have the Spurs been rebuilding now?
This is dragging on and on and on. Come together Spurs right now let's go. GSG
