What are the Wolves going to do with Austin Rivers contract?
regardless of how many 1st round picks we may or may not get back for Kat, its still in our best interest long term, to have Kat play with Ant and Jaden, over Rudy playing with Ant. IMO… If we have to reach close to or over the 2nd Apron for 2 years so be it. i would rather have Kat than a possible MLE player. If we sold to another cheap set of owners, that just plain sucks. Our draft picks get locked in, but they are already locked in due to the trade for Rudy. Seems like we are doing an OK job developing some young unheralded players. So im not worried about not bringing in a late 1st round pick if we trade, or possible early 2nd round set of picks if we dont trade Kat since those are way easier to trade for.
Conley will get traded at the deadline & Wolves will draft the best PG available in 2024 with their earliest pick…

Why does it matter if Gobert-Towns works? The new salary cap rules are too restrictive to teams that have 3 max players that we can’t keep Kat, Gobert, & Ant. The only way it matters if Gobert-Towns works is if you are going to keep them and trade Ant. This argument of we need to see if Gobert-Towns can work makes no sense. If that is the reason we are keeping Kat and not maximizing his value, we are just mortgaging the future of the franchise for the GM’s ego…
