Didn’t they tell us we didn’t need a draft pick because we got Trevor Keels?
We were legit better off attaching this pick to a fournier trade.
Wasted pick…
If anything what was said was dude needed to show up in summer league probably because he’s getting rolled in practice
What about all my Keels RPAs?????????
Lol bro should’ve never left duke
Initially I was thinking this was a waste, why draft an 18yo and give up on him at 19…but actually they might just be able to keep him on the g-league squad and sign him later if he shows any faint pulse. I think the risk of another team signing him is very low given what he’s shown. So this might just be a no-risk move in the end.
Lol gotta love the FO …… first Jacob toppin … obi gets traded . Next keels is our guy….. gets waived Hahahahahah
Keels looked like a bad pick the second they drafted him
Once i saw keels on the court, i knew he was gonna be g league bound
The last time the Knicks moved on from a second round pick named Trevor that they drafted as a teenager in the 40-ish range, it didn’t work out so well.
This may be the conspiracy theorist in me but during the pre draft process there were reports Dallas liked keels and at the time he would have had a spot on their roster even if it was at the end of it.
But they lucked into hardy with a later pick, and they got but hurt about Brunson.
I think keels was going to be part of a sign and trade for Brunson, because otherwise all the things that the Knicks valued in players weren’t really there in keels it was an unusual pick of the jump. It would however had made sense for them to get something out of it by the deal fell apart and we were stuck with keels
