Nope. Capela is a good player with the right pieces next to him and better than Collins for most teams. Specifically is great as a rim protecting role player and a vertical threat off the roll on offense. We lack a point guard that can reliably make him an offensive plus, and we lack the spacing to make him being a complete non spacer palatable. Zach Collins is a better fit for this team at C.

If it was a salary dump – sure. I think Capela’s defence is something that could help Wemby and Sochan this year, and something we don’t really have from any of our other bigs.
But with 22M due next year I am not giving up any future assets. At most I would just send out matching salary with this years expirings, but would be asking for something else in return.
