So we just saying fuck the defense right ??and the bench ?

  2. solo118

Good thing SAS’s recommendation is as useful as used toilet paper

He’s obviously been very successful and seems like a guy that must annoy a tremendous number of fans, especially nba fans of any team but the Knicks. I sometimes wonder if he just tries to get everyone to hate him in the same way a wrestling heal would do (I remember seeing that the beastie boys tried this to great success when releasing license to Ill) and the easiest way to alienate a New York Audience when embracing our basketball team is too position yourself as an idiot fan only embracing terrible ideas.

For at least 15 years most of us have begged for a patient rebuild inline with what we have done and he constantly lobbies to blow it all up for a guy who can’t deliver us to the promised land and/or is on the wrong side of 30 and typically redundant with our best player

I don’t love the Dame fit in NY…but it’s something I think if we got him, I would be amenable to.

But not at that fucking price. There’s no reason Miami can just give Herro and Duncan Robinson and we have to give up two starters and our best bench player.

If we acquire Dame…it would have to be for RJ, Fournier (Salary), and 3 picks…nothing more. We don’t need him for that much.

  5. Coolio1014

Yes let’s give away our entire future for an aging 32 year old point guard, we defintely dont already have a young, good player that plays the exact same position and that carried the team to 6 games in the second round……

  6. det8924

The Knicks don’t need Dame, he isn’t a great fit and giving up a ton of assets for a 33 year old PG only makes sense if the team didn’t already have a younger and near as good PG already on the roster. Fuck off with this shit, giving up way too much anyway.

  7. Norby710

He’s not that far off from most fans here? Brunson lillard randle big 3!?

  8. AsizzlesU777

Good thing he isn’t our GM or President which means we can ignore him and move on with our lives

  9. IM2FAST

the reality is, if the big trade is going to happen no team wants Julius. It’s going to be RJ and Quick as the two pieces with someone like Evan thrown in to make the money work

for Embiid I do that. For Dame…..idk probably not. But it would not be both Quick and Grimes imo for Dame. MAYBE for Embiid but even then I maybe decline that and try to just do one or the other

  10. FrankNtilikinaOcean

We’re gonna need Keels’ trash ass back to play some legit minutes if we trade that package away

  11. Affectionate-Tea9224

Forget about who the knicks are giving up, but even if Dame was a free agent and could just outright sign him he doesn’t fit. Brunson is already a ball dominant closer. Why would they need to share the ball, and as have pointed out, the defense would be abysmal, again even if the knicks could just sign him. Stephen A needed something nba related to talk about since it’s the dog days and figured let’s just throw some shit out there

  12. i-piss-excellence32

    Stop giving that idiot attention

  13. Old-McJonald

If we didn’t have BrunsHIM maybe. Why would we do this now?

  14. _youngsterjoey_

I mean from a value standpoint its really not bad, but dame and brunson is just cj and dame but dame is aging. He’s not a fit at all, would rather try to get PG if I’m getting a 33 year old who’s injured constantly.

  15. TheDogFacedGremlin

So he thinks we should try to compete for one to two years and just blow it all up after we fail? That doesn’t sound smart.

  16. dolomanc

This guy really needs to stfu. It’s embarrassing for ESPN that this clown made the cut after firing all those other semi-talented talking heads

  17. mattr1198

That’s a Steve Mills type move (aka fucking stupid). Dame has no fit next to Brunson and giving up so many assets for an injury prone 33 year old is beyond silly.

  18. GreenEggzAndSpam

Dame doesn’t help us, no thanks

  19. severinks

Why do I care what this Knicks hater disguised as a Knicks fan has to say again?

  20. TruthFreesYou

Dame for Randle, Quickley, McBride and 3 firsts. Let’s do this.

  21. Oliverqueen03

I’m not trading anything close to that for a 33 yr old Dame Lillard. Prob has 2 years left of elite basketball barring any injuries. Who knows when age will show since LeBron is the exception. Father time is undefeated. Maybe if he was closer to 28,29 in age.
