Hello everyone. In all seriousness FanDuel knows as much about winning as it does about basketball…
Brooklyn is going to have to work hard as a team and play great gritty tough defense and play a team style offense…
If this new core can figure out their balance together the results are going to be better than what any prediction pundit could ever calculate…..
Ben Simmons if he's healthy can be a big factor towards unlocking the Brooklyn offense. His ability as a playmaker to throw out great assists and passes could really help increase Mikal Bridges Cam Johnson and Nic Claxton offensive output even more. And especially on the defensive side he can guard 1-5 which is a huge luxury…
Without Ben Simmons at the moment it will require a lot more responsibility on Mikal Bridges Cam Johnson and Nic Claxton shoulders but with him the amount of roles and responsibilities would be more balanced….
Again if Nic Claxton who has been working on adding more offensive layers to his skillset can add a decent jump shot and actually make three point buckets the offensive output on this team can go up another level as well 🔥….
Also Brooklyn bench this season is a lot more versatile then last year especially on defense….
Last year Joe Harris Seth curry and Patty Mills made offensive contributions but their serious lack of defensive intensity made it hard for them to stay on the court during long stretches…
Brooklyn has amped up the bench with better athletic defensive players in Lonnie Walker lV Dennis Smith Jr and Darius Bazley….
It really depends on Johnson and bridge I feel. I feel both of them can be as good or if not better than Jalen brown from Boston. And Brown got a crazy max deal. Who sucks at free throws. Lol
Still think though that Brooklyn should try to get a backup center for extra depth behind Claxton. Dayron sharpe and Darius Bazley could provide those minutes but it wouldn't be bad to add a veteran backup center who could provide some minutes and serve as a mentor of sorts…..
