How Celtics deal affects Miami Heat, Dame… & maybe Tyler Herro | Five on the Floor

Jaylen Brown signed a mega-extension with the Boston Celtics that has ripples across the NBA. Ethan, Greg and Alex discuss whether it’s a good deal for Boston, and how it officially removes the Celtics from any contention for Dame Lillard. And then they look at whether the Heat can keep Tyler Herro out of a Lillard trade, as the Blazers’ options for a “savior deal” seemingly continue to shrink.

  1. I would love if the heat could resists the "Spida" thing on the miami heat if the heat don't get Dame!!! 🔥

  2. Dame jimmy and bam can ride this wave for the next three years and maybe get a chip or two then we can replenish them with spyda and fox who are both free agents in 26 and fit Bam’s timeline for the next “iteration”…..

  3. To say "PO has no leverage and you can keep herro" is borderline delusional… Just setting yourself and fans who believe that's ideal up. Portland not wanting him makes sense considering they have 3 guards so that's why you trade him for that extra pick as we don't have many and they are never lottery picks so it doesn't like all that attractive. However 4-5 picks with 2 being valuable looks better than 3 late first round picks. I like Tyler but this just isn't happening. I do believe cronin was waiting on the Celtics but with that signing, he has his back against the walk as that was the only team that was ready to call bluff against Dame and his agent
