I know people are most likely tired of hearing Dame this, Dame that until something official happens. But Portland’s FO has really forced us into a brick wall.
I hope a deal would get talked about soon.
Tbf Barry (@flasportsbuzz on Twitter) has been adamant that all the guys involved in negotiations on both sides are either on vacation rn or going on vacation. So we shouldn’t expect anything to happen in the immediate future anyways

I think this is simple, Portland wants the best package from us, the one we currently offered them is good but they probably believe we can offer better if we find a 3rd and/or a 4th team. Eventually if we don’t they’ll just take the deal that’s already on the table. We will get Dame.
I still think the Blazers wait until the season starts. Lots of teams trying to contend and if someone season is going sideways you can always see a team make a trade out of desperation.

Keep the team you have. Get some additional pieces in free agency that are still available… keep your youth, Miami.
As time goes on, this Dame thing feels less and less like a good move for Miami…
