Anyone can gather a handful of clips over multiple years of a star player taking bad shots/making bad decisions.
In his time in Dallas over 2 full years and partial year, he shot cumulatively in low 30s for 3 pt percentage and their floor spacing was rough because DwightPowell was their starting center who had no jump shooting ability whatsoever. KP was stuck on perimeter jacking 3s and rarely got used in the post because of that. His shot developed and Washington used his skills within the offense much better.
Let’s also not forget it takes a long time to come back from a catastrophic ACL tear both mentally and physically.

Lol. Porzingis averaged 20ppg in Dallas. It didn’t work out because he missed like 70 games for them.

Not trying to say our guys are selfish but we’ll have to see if Tatum/Brown have the play making abilities to be better than this.
Tatum has been a lot better in that department & I have confidence in him, especially with Smart gone I think he’ll step up. But he’s not perfect, especially compared to Luka. I just wouldn’t be so quick to assume the KP connection here is gonna be that much better than it was in Dallas, we’ll have to see
