After acquiring Kristaps Porzingis from the Wizards in a 3-team deal that sent Marcus Smart to the Grizzlies, the Celtics have signed Jaylen Brown to a 5-year contract extension worth $304 million ($60.8 million AAV a year), so in the upcoming 2023-24 NBA season, the Celtics will win the Atlantic Division crown with a 74-8 record, beat the Bulls in 5 games in the Eastern Conference first round, beat the Cavaliers in 5 games in the Eastern Conference semifinals, beat the Bucks in a 4-game sweep in the Eastern Conference finals, and beat the defending NBA champion Nuggets in 7 games to win their 18th NBA title after coming back from an 3-0 series deficit, just like the Red Sox did against the Yankees in the 2004 ALCS to force and win Game 7 en route to their 1st World Series title in 86 years and the Patriots did against the Falcons in Super Bowl LI after coming back from a 28-3 deficit to force overtime and won 34-28.

Jaylen isn’t any more susceptible to the noise than any other player would be if they’re name is continually mentioned in trade reports…!!!! If any player experiences that it’s not good. It can have to many potential effects on outside issues and affect how they perform. There’s a level of comfort that comes along with security. If a guy layer is never allowed to fee security in their position in the organization performance will be affected…!!!

Cap management? 35 +35 =70. Gonna have 30% of the cap for 13 other players. Plenty. 30/13 = 2.3% of cap per player 3 thru 15 on roster. Plenty.
I hate the NBA super max structure. There is no way JB should be accounting for that much of the cap. But since he met certain criteria once now he's "entitled" to it. Maybe now he could actually perform in the playoffs.
